Hi folks! :)

Is someone in and on and (still) up who has made a gog-mix? And if so does it ever happened to you that the entries in your mix were all twice after saving? This evening was very frustrating to me, because I discovered this bug again (and a new one!) and had to 'cleanup' my mix... Now to the beer! :)

Edit: I forgot: it's the internet, someone is always awake ^^

Dessimu: Hi there! Wonderful people of GOG. How are you doing?

I was at Vilnius Book Fair today - big event, lasts for 4 days and is very interesting. Bought myself two books, one of which is The Decameron. Have anyone read this?
I got that one in my youth, went halfway into it and gave up... Not bad; a bit silly, classic romantic and a bit erotic stuff told in quite a nice way.
So the day I get some decent spending money in my pocket for the first time in a while is the day where Batman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition, Divinity: Original Sin and The Witcher 3 go on sale. The first two I've been really excited for, The Witcher 3 I'm becoming more and more interested in despite not really enjoying the first one that much (I like darker/edgy "mature" games but it felt like it was trying a bit too hard).

Still I'll be a responsible adult and keep my money, Batman: Arkham Knight can wait until I get a PC that can run it comfortably, Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition - Collector's Edition is the edition I want and it will likely continue going down in price as days go on, and The Witcher 3 will probably get a Special Edition/Collector's Edition/GOTY Edition within a year or so which is worth waiting for. Anyway I'll be over here NOT crying in the corner.

If you say so :)
Yeah I mean if you can do that, why not.
I got Witcher 1 when many people had gone through it already - for about 2 euros... And Witcher 2 was about the same.
But it takes some effort to spot the right sales. Yeah the thumb rule seems to be: wait a year or two after the release and you'll get a really huge discount at some point.

NoNewTaleToTell:
Exercise extreme caution with the PC version of Arkham Knight. The word on that one is bad, and I haven't seen anyone saying it's been patched properly to fix the problems from the rush job of getting it out.

I got the first two Witchers the same way, so I think we're on the same wavelength here. Just wait for a sale, eh?

My net sucks too much at the moment to stream anything but I'll save the link for when I can listen to it, thanks!

Aye, I've been following it since it was released. From what I've read it's been fixed enough to make it playable, and that's good enough for me. I'm not expecting anything AMAZING but as long as it's stable then it should be worth my time.

Okay, cool. Figured I'd mention it since it'd suck pretty bad to get burned on the purchase.
Also looking forward to giving it a try eventually. 100 percented Asylum and City, just need a system that'll run it.

Yeah, I loved Asylum and City too, Origins is well worth a playthrough too if you haven't played it. It (Origins) has a bit of a reputation of being buggy but I only ran into two major bugs (fell kinda outside map once during a particular outside fight, was able to get back into the world, and a important switch didn't work but did after a restart) and the very occasional case of the B man glitching out when soaring through the air (he would constantly switch between the soaring/standing animations for a few seconds).

I need to build a "dedicated" gaming/music computer anyway, I'm just not looking forward to the cost haha.

In other news: Beethoven's 9 Symphony does NOT mesh well with Skyrim. At all. So I'll now be trying a darkwave-ish band called Drop Black Sky for background music in Skyrim. Their music is just chilled out and ethereal enough that it just might work...

What's on your gaming platter?

I got Origins for the PC, but I was getting about 5 frames a second. -laughs- It was pathetic, totally unplayable.
Once I manage to get this thing upgraded, I'll be doing that one as well.

Yeah, same here. Well, not the music side, since I have zero ability with that. But definitely for games.

This probably has nothing to do, genre-wise, with what you just mentioned, but it's what came to mind when I read the word darkwave.
Regardless, I like it, maybe you will too.

Right now, not much. I've got Maximilian Dood's Twitch stream going on another tab in between setting stuff up on the Paizo site since I grabbed a bunch of books from them in the latest Humble Book bundle.
Once I'm more focused, it'll be a no distractions, no partial completion then come back later, run of Pony Island. Grabbed that one from GOG yesterday.

5 frames a second? Yeesh, I would imagine your rig is better than mine (mine uses a Intel HD 4000 graphics card) and I had no framerate issues.

I'll give that a listen soon, thanks.

You just reminded me that I need to get started on reading some of the stuff I've bought. I've got 20 or so comics/ebooks from Groupees and haven't touched them yet.

I just started up Shadowrun: Dragonfall, decided to keep soldiering on instead of restarting. After some googling apparently a lot of people have had some RNG issues, so I don't see a point in starting over after five or six hours.

Speaking of Shadowrun, Bundlestars has some Shadowrun games on sale at the moment, Shadowrun Chronicles: Infected: Director's Cut seems to be the one to pick up as it contains Infected and Boston Lockdown. Do you have any thoughts on them? I'm falling in love with the Shadowrun universe but not enough to waste fifteen bucks on a bad game.

Guess I'm just unlucky then. I'm running with Intel HD 4600 and got the results I mentioned.

Not a problem. It's quiet, might be useful for relaxing.

Don't feel bad. You're not the only one. I now have a few game systems, and I haven't really dug into any of them yet.

As long as it evens out. It's just a recipe for misery if the game keeps actively screwing you over nonstop.

The reviews on that one are mixed. It might have some potential, but seeing so much mention in reviews about the multiplayer aspect make me shy away since that's something I'll never use.
Good morning

*hugs and waves*
Good morning dear thread !...

Maybe. I can still see bits of other ads at the bottom of my screen.
