adaliabooks: Tzar is quite good. I had a demo of it years ago and had fun with it. Warcraft is probably a good comparison (from what I remember anyway)
I will have a closer look on Monday when I get back home. I enjoyed the original Warcraft games (I have played all of them, except WOW), so maybe Tzar will be a good choice.

How are you? Have you had a good weekend?

Not bad thank you. Just playing Lords of Xulima and programming mainly. Got to do some accounting tomorrow, which is always fun, but at least it's not too complicated and the lack of work means theres not all that much to record.
I won't ask how your weekend has been, I can gather it's not good :(

ddickinson: Good day, everyone!

How are you all doing? Good job with getting Owl to the big 100, you guys are awesome! Did I miss anything fun?

avatar
LaPtiteBete: Hoooo sorry Endre !!! you're right, it was your idea !!! :-O
I'm such a stupid b*tch without memory... >__<
avatar
ddickinson: We will have none of that, madam Owl! I can't stand by and let a wonderful French Owl be so hard on herself, especially not now you are in the 100 club. :-)

Congratulations on reaching the big 100!
Hey hello DD !!...
Yeah... I know, I shouldn't have said that. But I was in a sh*tty mood, and when I fell like that, I'm quite hard on myself. Deal with it :-p
Thanks again for bring me in the 100 club !!! :-D I feel special :->
How was your day ?? I read you spent a while in your friend's family... was it OK with your mother-in-law ? :"|

I know how all the paperwork can be, I have been stuck doing mountains of it recently. Normally my mother deals with it all, but with her ill, it is down to me. I guess as you own your own pizza van, that makes you self-employed?

My weekend has been okay, well maybe more "meh". But it's only until Monday, so it's not too bad.

ddickinson: I definitely don't like long PDF's. But that's because I hate reading too much on a computer screen. A kindle e-reader is okay, as it's made to look like a book, but I find reading of a computer/tablet screen can hurt my eyes.

I think you are right, the whole "eh...it looks like it might be good" approach is not really me. Perhaps if I played my games more, and had a smaller backlog, then I would share that approach. But as I don't play games much lately, and as I have a big backlog, I just wait until there is a game I must have, rather than just keep collecting games that I might like. Which is why I don't have a wishlist, so that I don't get gifted games that I might not play (which would make me feel bad for getting a gift from someone that I might not play anytime soon, or at all - I could like the look of a game but hate it once I try it, and that would be a waste of a gift). I think I own the games on GOG that are definitely games I want, the rest are just ones I'm interested in.
-laughs- It's nice to be right. You are definitely more sensible than I.

"Must have"...that actually strikes me as funny.
I can't think of any game I'd regard that way, even the classics. All of it is ultimately just more stuff for the pile, more stuff that I want or wanted for whatever reason.

I like your approach to gifts.
I'm in the situation you just described, having been fortunate enough to receive gifts from a number of very generous people, but now feeling more than a little guilty because the mood hasn't struck me to run through them all yet.
Good evening everybody, by the way... I'm rude

Yeah, self employed. Which is nice, but means I have to keep books and do tax returns and stuff. I don't really mind it too much. Just would rather do something else.

Glad your weekend hasn't been too bad.

Hello, Owl! *big hug*

I understand you being in a bad mood, but I can't just stand around and let a lovely person like you be so hard on yourself. Endre deserves all the credit for getting you in the 100 club, I just helped it along.

My day has been okay, thank you. Spending time with my partner's family is never a pleasant event, but just one more day to go.

How are you today?

Oh yes, horribly so. ;)

Also, good evening to you as well. =)

Good evening! (Though I disagree with the "rude" part.)
Has your day improved?

Oh, and good evening to everyone else!

"Must have" might be the wrong word, maybe it should be "highly interested in". But I think you know what I mean. I have never been keen on getting gifts, much to Hypers annoyance :-). I am so used to working/earning what I get, that I am not always comfortable accepting gifts of people, especially people who I only know to chat with on here. Strange I know, but that's how I have always been. There is also the fact that I have not had much time for games, and it would make me feel even worse if I didn't play the game in a reasonable time after getting gifted the game. But I have to be in the mood to play a game.

Well it's hard to have a totally bad weekend when I'm with my lovely partner. :-)

My day took a nice turn, and I'm doing quite well now.
Best of luck getting through the rest of your weekend!

It's not that I don't appreciate gifts, in fact it's quite the opposite, I'm so very grateful for them. But I'm just weird with gifts, so I try not to give people an option to gift me, just to be safe. :-)

Thank you. Been able to waste some time on here chatting with the lovely locals is definitely helping me get through the night. I don't like been here (my partner's parents house, not the forum), and I find it hard to sleep. If I were at home I could go get a book, or do something else, but here I can't, so having people to chat with is very nice.
