CarrionCrow: -laughs- It's nice to be right. You are definitely more sensible than I.
"Must have"...that actually strikes me as funny.
I can't think of any game I'd regard that way, even the classics. All of it is ultimately just more stuff for the pile, more stuff that I want or wanted for whatever reason.
I like your approach to gifts.
I'm in the situation you just described, having been fortunate enough to receive gifts from a number of very generous people, but now feeling more than a little guilty because the mood hasn't struck me to run through them all yet.
"Must have" might be the wrong word, maybe it should be "highly interested in". But I think you know what I mean. I have never been keen on getting gifts, much to Hypers annoyance :-). I am so used to working/earning what I get, that I am not always comfortable accepting gifts of people, especially people who I only know to chat with on here. Strange I know, but that's how I have always been. There is also the fact that I have not had much time for games, and it would make me feel even worse if I didn't play the game in a reasonable time after getting gifted the game. But I have to be in the mood to play a game.
adaliabooks: Yeah, self employed. Which is nice, but means I have to keep books and do tax returns and stuff. I don't really mind it too much. Just would rather do something else.
Glad your weekend hasn't been too bad.
Well it's hard to have a totally bad weekend when I'm with my lovely partner. :-)
EndreWhiteMane: Hi little one, and everyone else. :-)
Hello, Endre! How has your day been so far?
AgentBirdnest: Good evening! (Though I disagree with the "rude" part.)
Has your day improved?
Oh, and good evening to everyone else!
And greeting, Agent! I hope you are doing well?
