CarrionCrow: True. -laughs-
But, the more you get, the more odds stack up against you. I'm working towards 60 percent completion.
You, on the other hand, are past 85. The sales have to keep getting bigger to improve the odds, and GOG usually doesn't go past 100-135 a sale.
budejovice: My going-crazy-here started about a year ago. It's pretty interesting how they choose their discounted titles. The big sales are offering less and less for me (other than the standard 50%), but these weeklies are still coming up with games that I don't yet have. I assume they spread around the sales throughout the catalog as much as possible. Of course there are exceptions a-plenty, but I do find it interesting that they are STILL coming up with promos that include discounts I can partake in. :)
EDIT: Part of it may be how I began life as a goglodyte. I didn't purchase anything that was Windows only until the tail end of Insomnia - and was up to a few hundred games by then. Perhaps skipping over Windows only games at the beginning has spread out the promo game availability for me.
For me it started in full around the first Insomnia. Had about 12 games (including the freebies) before then.
Still playing catch-up, really.
The number rises slowly, but I'm wiping out more than what shows up, and I've picked over the catalog numerous times, so I don't think there's much more stuff I might want other than what's on the list. (For the time being, anyway.)
CarrionCrow: Damn it....I love being old.
Frigging hands hurt from the controller and my right thumb doesn't want to work anymore.
And for some reason, there's a voice in my brain that wants me to rent Kane and Lynch, Kane and Lynch 2, and Final Fantasy 13.
It is now apparent that said voice hates me and wants me to suffer.
EndreWhiteMane: What are you, a whopping 40 or something? Wait a couple more decades. :-)
I'm actually 84. ;) Don't tell anyone, though.
