CarrionCrow: I've spent less time on really good games.
I know that Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana didn't take that long to finish.
I'm not sure with Chrono Trigger, but I know I used to complete FF V in about 24 hours. But Xenoblade Chronicles I think I put in about 110 hours, ditto for Bravely Default on 3DS. I think the game that I know I put the most hours into (as in actually had a count) was Samurai Warrior Chronicles on 3DS. I think that was about 130 - 140... I know that Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger or Secret of Mana didn't take that long to finish.
I'm sure I'll have spent more time on RTS, or on Counterstrike when I used to play that though.
ddickinson: I did as well. But then it turned out like Dark Crusade. The end missions for each race were fun, but I hated conquering the map. It was just countless skirmish missions, the same each damn time. If I had wanted to play skirmish missions I would have, but I wanted a nice campaign, just like the first game and the first expansion had.
Soulstorm does look appealing, but only because of the Battle Sisters. But I was bored enough with Dark Crusade and its skirmish style missions, so I don't think I will try Soulstorm, especially as it's hard to get hold of DRM for a reasonable rice.
See the campaign never really bothers me too much in an RTS. I'd rather just play random skirmishes. DoW had rock hard AI on the higher difficulties. I was so pleased when I was finally able to beat the higher difficulties.Soulstorm does look appealing, but only because of the Battle Sisters.
