I'm off to watch some of the new episodes of Gotham.
I'll be seein you.

Stilton: Still get the feeling they're trying to work out the 'perfect formula' for a sale. They like things to drag out a bit, but that way everyone gets a look in, which makes sense. But I'd like to see it be more like a fireworks display, with highs and surprises along the way. A front page divided into two or three sections filled with timed deals, or something like that. They'd rotate, but there would be a lot more variety and interest as a result.
It's the pacing. Right now, it's got too many lulls. With some tweaking, they could maintain that higher energy level that you and a lot of other people are looking for. It doesn't have to be edge of your seat all the time (even though that'd be awesome), just a format that avoids the whole "we're doing repeats again...yay" before the next rotation even hits.
That repetition kills energy and interest.

Stilton: And just been playing Words For Evil. Early days yet, but its a nice way to spend some time.
avatar
budejovice: Enjoyed that one a lot.

Hope everyone here is/has been well. I wish I had time to keep up with this thread - I miss you guys - but without internet for over half the day that's an even more difficult proposition than trying to keep up while watching a mafia game.
Doing all right here, hopefully things have been going well on your end. =)

Don't sweat it. Just jump in, it works. I could keep written notes and still not keep up with everything.

Hey there bud.

Yeah those decapitated horse heads are distracting.
-----
By the way, before I leave. Remember that crazy idea I had about hosting a traditional pen & paper game over the net?
I still think we can pull it off.
Been thinking about it some more, and decided to quit the bullshit. Roll20 looks fantastic and also complicated, I don't need that. So we all decide on a VoIP program, teamspeak, mumble, or any flavour of the day. And we do the dice rolls in a private IRC chatroom. If anyone still remembers IRC that is.

This thread moves at the speed of light sometimes and I doubt anyone reads everything here. Its good to see you when you can make it. :-)

Just had a look at Apotheon. My keyboarding skills are right up there with my plate spinning and tightrope walking. (Noisy and dangerous.) I'll need to get a gamepad...

Figuring at this point that you'll be the ref/DM/gamemaster/whatever you want to call it?

Given that, decide what format you think will work best, decide on a game, then go from there.

No pressure. ;)

Started playing that a couple days ago, and the flow of combat is frigging weird. It tends to boil down to you and an opponent hopping around like kangaroos wearing ancient Greek costumes while trying to stab each other in the back.

Good evening, everyone!

Just a quickish visit while I get some more things finished ready for tomorrow and also to check on the promo. Sadly no game for Moonshine yet. Oh well, if none come up I will just have to be a rebel and get her some full price games. :-)

How are you all today, doing well I hope?

Then I shall strive to drop by more often. :)

Boring sale. Really wish they wouldn't have had the vast majority of the daily deals on day 1. Nevertheless, added to the backlog a bit....

Can't complain here, how was your day?

I was about to ask how much you could possibly have left to grab, but then I looked at your wishlist.
The path to 100 percent is very, very long...

Good evening!

My day has been good, the last few days have had been a bit hard due to some more crap going on that I could do without at the moment, but other than that I am doing good. I am a little excited about tomorrow as it is my lovely wife's birthday and I am hoping she really likes some of the things I have planned for her. Well, I know she will like them, I am just excited to see the big smile on her face and being able to just spend the day relaxing and having fun with her while she still has a few days off work.

How are you liking today's promo lineup?

If you have to deal with more crap, I at least hope it's of an annoying drama variety, rather than continued health concerns. Lesser of two evils at this point.

Already have everything of interest this time around. Thinking GOG will probably do a two-day finale, so tomorrow's the last chance to get lucky on the bundles.

Sadly it is a bit of both at the moment. But it's okay, nothing I need to bother anyone with.

Then I hope something nice come up so I can finish some gifting. :-)

It isn't a bother.

That's kind of you, but there's no need to gift me anything. I just lost track of how many different series I still haven't played through.

Was that why you were taking the pills earlier?

I know, I just tend to try not to complain too much, plus it is nothing I really want to talk about, especially the drama side as that is getting me quite annoyed at the moment what with the health stuff.

That is a same, but I understand. I also want to get some D&D stuff for Soccorro and one of the three games on Moons wishlist. I was hoping something of hers would have appeared, but no luck so far. Not that it is a big problem, I will just get her one at random at full price as I really would like to get her a little something.

Hi, Mrs D. Been a fairly ordinary day here, which is OK. I'm exploring some of my acquisitions this time around. There are some amazing games here - I need to be thirty years younger to be able to finish them all :-)

How's the birthday bash shaping up?
