CarrionCrow: Haven't ever played Braid. Have heard it mentioned about 50 times, but haven't played it.
No worries. All I ever have to do is think "Bethesda", and I see exactly how much hype plays into things. ;)
avatar
j0ekerr: Quite so, look at ESO.

Although to be fair, I enjoyed Fallout 3 inmensely even if I loathed Oblivion.

The VATS system made all the difference.

Braid is an interesting platformer puzzle with time manipulation mechanics. Where it fails, spectacularly so, is at the supposed storytelling. That, feels as if written by someone with thick plastic glasses, sipping a double latte in a starbucks while browsing on his macbook pro. The annoying part, is that some people buy fully into that bullshit part of the game and end up fanwanking some hidden meaning that they compare to a personal epiphany.

Too deep for you.

Spellforce hasn't particularly awed me either. So I think I'll hold.

In other news. Broken Age got its daily rather soon.
Looking forward to the day Bethesda dies. =) (Also, they put out Call of Cthulhu - Dark Corners of the Earth....they deserve to die just for that alone.)

HypersomniacLive: Good day, hope everyone's doing better than they did yesterday.
Good afternoon. =) Can't complain here, how's the day treating you?

Definitely could have been better. But at least it's sunny.
Aoow, wow, another sale ?... Nooo... Nordic sale !
(Jack Keane is back, haha !! :D)
I'm very tempted by a few games in this one... but it won't be reasonable. I mean, not at all. Damned... Do you think these game will be totally removed from the GOG catalog after the sale ? (a lot of them weren't available anymore... !)
Plus, these are the games Sinistar is giving away...
Pfffff :-( why, why, why...

They're all getting pulled again aside from Book of Unwritten Tales, Book of Unwritten Tales - Critter Chronicles and Raven - Legacy of a Master Thief.
This is a "let's get back together so we can both get more money out of the user base before the end of the month while testing the waters to see if we can get away with doing regional pricing plus fair price credits for the whole catalog of Nordic games" sale. -laughs-

Yeah, looks like they will be removed at the end of the sale.

From the news post -
Make haste, the games will only be available for purchase for the next 96 hours!
Oh, and hi everyone!

Still dirt cheap prices though!
I wish I wouldn't have them all.
Freedom Force isn't there.

Can't really hate bethesda that much. Even if it was (maybe) their fault fallout was pulled off here.

Haven't played Skyrim but people seemed to like it.

And if they make a good Fallout 4... well I'll be happy.

Another rule to keep in mind when evaluating the quality of a game - how many times you have to sit through people yammering on and on and on and ON AND ON about the mods they absolutely cannot live without for said game.

When you've got droves of people who're willing to just about blow a title, but they're only willing to do so after random people have fixed all the screwups that the professional developers couldn't be bothered with?

Massive red flag....
Remember how I was yammering on about Dark Souls II? Well turns out that the xbox price is already a sale price. But the sneaky gits at Microsoft don't even mention it. Why? I have no idea. I had to look up major Nelson's blog to find that out. If you mention it's a limited time offer, then people will surely be more interested in buying it won't they? But this is MS, when have they been truly sensible? It also seems like they don't care about 360 users anymore.

So that's probably the best deal I'm gonna get out of MS. And I'm kinda pissed. I'm not gonna get a xbone no matter what. Specially since the quality of the PC ports is increasing. Arkham Knight might very well be superior in the PC.

I played vanilla fallout 3 and still managed to love it, despite its bugs.

And something surprising: I've been reading about the truck simulator game. At first I thought it was more of a joke. But people like, and not in an ironic way, but sincerely.

Hey, hi Agent...
That's a bad news for both my wallet and my conscience. What should I do... If I don't buy them, I will certainly regret it, because they won't be available anymore. If I buy them, I will also regret it, because I don't really need these games, I've already bought a lot of them, I won't play every game I've bought before ages, and I don't have any penny left on my bank account. I'm screwed.

Anyway. How are you today ?!

Mornin' all, was about to write a scathing post about the corporate bullshit going on with Nordic but decided it would ruin my festive mood. ;)
Glad to hear everyone is doing at least OK, sorry about the headaches and colds and stuff, sounds like a lot of people are victims of our crazy weather, myself included. <sneeze, cough>
Morning Endre. Today has dawned a glorious sun where I live.

It's actually a very nice day. Perhaps I should consider leaving my den and feeling natural sunlight

The thread seems rather slow, maybe I should spark some controversy like PaterAlf suggested. And following a rule of thumb used in corporate newscasting, The more outrageous the statement, the more controversial.

Downton Abbey is superior in every way to Upstairs Downstairs.

Discuss.

I'd like to share some advice from the band 311 - "You've got to trust your instinct, and let go of regret."
Lucky for me, my wallet is empty, so I don't have to worry about it :-)

I'm doing alright. My physician made some time to see me yesterday, and made sure I was okay. She even wrote me a new prescription for more of my medication, so I won't run out this month :-)

How are you?

Never watched the former, never heard of the latter

I agree! But then I haven't seen the latter, I've only read somewhere that the servants act not like honest people, but like conspirators or something... And I don't like seeing Game-of-Thrones stuff where it doesn't fit - I don't even watch Game of Thrones or any political thriller for that matter (I'm not entertained by conspiracies).

So yeah...I don't see anything controversial about this-but then I'm a person who actually liked To the Moon (I was even moved and crying at the ending), while most posts I've seen critisize it for some reason...

Edit-to clarify there are some asshole servants in Downton Abbey, but everybody dislikes them- contrarily to everybody being an asshole servant...

Glad you're getting sun j0ekerr, we haven't seen any for a week or so.
Agent, glad you got to see the doctor and all is well, as far as being 'festive' I was kidding, don't believe I've ever been festive in my life. Doing OK other than a bit of a cold.
