Howdy akhliber! :)
One general advice I can give is: if you know someone who really-really knows about upgrading & finding a good build for gaming, don't hesitate to ask! Even if the person isn't your best friend... they might still be happy to help with issues they are good at dealing with... Well, maybe :)
From my meager knowledge some thoughts:
-You have more RAM than me, I'm
almost certain that's enough for even Witcher 3 with ultra details. Official gog recommendation for RAM for Witcher is 8 GB. I think that's what I have RAM-wise... maybe...(here's when you realize it's best to ignore my advice ha-ha)
-You have 2TB easily accessed secondary harddrive that you can run games from? If so, I'm not sure at least for games, you should upgrade that either...
-You might want to ... if you have some gold coins lying around :) ... buy a better NVIDIA - 860M perhaps or better... but you might want to ask at least a good shopkeeper about this, read a quality publication that does reviewing of graphics cards, ask a knowledgeable friend/relative.... and this goes with your dual cpu... I'm not sure if you'd need to get a better one to go with the better graphics card... I'm just saying this, if you want to play stuff like Witcher 3 on ultra.... maybe quad core would be a safe bet.
Oh, and one thing... don't forget a good ventilation! The more wind the better! Things can get heated properly, if you are playing some awesome games for hours and then your system decides to do some maintenance and then some...
Alright: to sum this up: I fear nothing, one hand washes the other... no wait that's a quote from a movie...
I mean... ask someone who knows
really about what's going on under the hood ;)
