None of those games look appealing. :/

ddickinson: Are there any that catch your eye? And keep in mind it was just my opinion, so be sure to check the games yourself as well if you like the look of them.

ElTerprise: Well i originally thought about Miss Take and possibly Toren but as i said - not sure about that. But that after reading Moons post about Long live the Queen i might take a closer look at that one as well. But there's no need to rush a decision :)
If you're interested in Long Live The Queen you might check out Masques and Murders, a Pay What You Want (even if that is free) Long Live The Queen clone. http://jamespatton.itch.io/masques-and-murder

moonshineshadow: I am not sure if you can really compare the pigeon game and long live the queen. since the first one is a dating sim. And not really sure what is categorized as visual novel. It is a really wide term.
I originally thought it would be more of a dating sim or something similar whatever that would be - i have no experience with that kind of games. I used the term pretty arbitrarily as i also don't know what is actually considered a visual novel.

ddickinson: You never know, would you have thought there would be a porn studio simulator on GOG, yet we have one now. So keep your chin up about NOLF, one day it could be right there on the front page, dedicated to Agent for all his kind words about the game. :-)
That's an excellent point. Somewhere between the unlikeliness of System Shock 2, and a porn studio sim, lies NOLF. Only a matter of time, I hope :-)
And then I will never shut up until we get Sid Meier's Gettysburg (my favourite strategy game) :-p
Always something new to wish for ;-)

Hm...might be worth a look prior to buying Long Live the Queen.Masques and Murders has a very interesting and my case certainly more appealing art style. Thanks :)

moonshineshadow: Long live the Queen was fun. It is a bit like "Choose your own adventure". Depending on what you decide to do and what things to learn you get a lot of different playthroughs and endings.
Seconded. Although I have to admit, it's certainly not for everyone. And you really have to take notes of your choices and where you died and why, to have a chance to beat this game some time. There are numerous ways through the game, with different outcome. But it's basically (entertaining) trial and error. From the errors you learn for the next game.
I guess some think the game is "unfair" because it's really impossible to "not fail" the first couple (or 20...) of tries. But this is actually how the game is supposed to work - memorize what you did, analyze why it didn't work, try again.

Oh yes. I thought that it was really fun. I don't know somehow for me gaming and making notes always belonged together. That is why I have a graph paper block on my desk next to my screen :P

You're really oldschool... Awesome! :-)

I gave up on graph paper and games requiring it when the kids kept scribbling over my laboriously plotted maps and notes. Maybe in a few years...

I do not think I have played that, but then I have not really played many Sid Meier's games. Is that one caught up in lots of legal red tape as well, or just not been made available?

*Scribbles away all innocently, reads Tom's post then checks the paper I am scribbling on. It read: "From the desk of Tom Klinkerhoffen von Flockenstuffen". Slowly puts the graph paper back before Tom notices I scribbled all over his master plan.* :-)

*hugs for everybody*
Yesterday,I finished Part 6 of JoJo and it was pretty intense and really bittersweet. I have to admit that it's quite the tearjerker especially if you got attatched to the characters.

I almost read that as WAAAGH! and wondered if you had become an Ork. :-)
(WAAAGH! being the name of a massive Ork military force/campaign, and the battle cry.)
