It's odd when I think about it, because often when I come to adore a band/musician, I want to hear everything they've created... but it never occurs me to look at soundtracks, just albums and live shows.
I'm going to have to correct this soon. :)
A good portion of the music I love is based at least partially on context... where I was when I first heard it, what I was doing / thinking / going through at the time. Bad as my memory is though, those connections aren't available all the time. I had this awesome example of an amazing movie ending + song combination that was incredibly powerful, and it disappeared in the recesses of my brainstuffs while typing this. Damn!

I'm down in Somerset, which I love. Its pleasantly rural with some beautiful villages scattered around, and quite a few amazing National Trust properties. We've got druidic sites and ancient burial mounds, and loads of interesting history.
Beats the bum off London, which I return to very seldom, thankfully. The place is pretty revolting now, which is such a shame. I have very fond memories of the old parts, but they've changed too much to be the same.
Historical sites sound great to me, the fact that you have superb cider helps too :)
Only visited London a few times, art galleries & R L Hospital, so mixed memories of the place.
Not keen on going back and getting lost once again, nightmare to navigate.

Finally found a bit of motivation, playing records while I clean up a bit around the house. Here's what's currently playing:
Lost in the Trees - "An Artist's Song"

Soundtracks once again.
There's so much to be got from a soundtrack, which is really pure storytelling. The best examples can be astonishingly good. I've got a growing collection which I don't think will ever be complete.
Give them a go when you have a moment - or a cleaning session ;-)

Stourhead is just down the road from us (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/stourhead/) and we go there often. Its incredible how it changes from season to season. If you like gardens and ever make it down here, there's plenty to please.
The galleries are the only thing I miss in London. I studied art and I practically lived in the National, Tate and National Portrait Galleries.

I'm on the second link now, and really loving it. I enjoyed the first one a lot, but the second one hit me much more... The first one really did sound like it would make a hell of a powerful movie scene.
I also really appreciate that they are both instrumentals and not just top 40 radio music. Not sure why I always make that connection with the thought of movie soundtracks...
That second song you linked makes me think you'd really enjoy a group called Rachel's, especially the album "Music for Egon Schiele." Not exactly too similar musically, other than being instrumental, but hits the same inside parts. :)
BUT! I just remembered another album I really love that is also a movie soundtrack (Philip Glass - "Koyaanisqatsi")
Not a soundtrack, but just to share another of my personal favorites... This one was actually our wedding song:
Nick Drake - "Time Has Told Me"

I'm looking up Rachel's and Koyaanisqatsi :-)
Here's another favourite, again by Ennio Morricone. Its probably my all time favourite movie soundtrack. The film is magnificent too, the wonderful Roman Polanski at his thrilling and clever best.

I hope you're doing well yourself! :)
Did a little gardening while the weather holds, but not much else.
Got a game in on close combat, so pretty slow all in all.
