Hmm. I cannot add any linux installer to the downloader. Is that a "feature" or a bug?
I guess I'll have to get them via direct downloads.

akhliber: Sounds like a nice and relaxing day. I've always wanted a garden, but I've always used my allergies as an excuse not to have one. Of course, there are plenty of things I'm not allergic to that I could grow, but my laziness has always won out. I still prefer to blame the allergies, though. ;)
Oh that's too bad, something i don't have to worry about thankfully.
That would make things a tad bit difficult as the house has plenty of plants too.

Stilton: akhliber, the final entry from Stilton's Wonderful World of Soundtracks....

This is a long recording, best to choose the right time (wait until the house is really in need of a clean)

If you're after an emotional punch, this one might actually knock you over!

Nice, this will be perfect for when the lady and pup go to sleep. When they fall asleep I switch to my headphones so I can enjoy music or gaming without keeping them up. That also means it's a perfect time to be immersed in some new music, as I'm here in the dark, able to give it my full attention.

I'll leave you with a couple more as well before going to watch a bit of teevee with the sleepy lady. :)
Matt Elliott - "The Kursk"

And since I mentioned Rachel's earlier, may as well share one of my favorites of theirs:
Rachel's - "Lloyd's Register"

What's nice is that it seems like my allergies are less severe with time. When I was young, I got allergy shots once a week for years, and would still have bad enough allergy problems that my school would contact my parents on days they were cutting the grass at the school to tell them to keep me at home. These days, I'll get a runny or stuffed nose and itchy eyes and not much else, so long as it's common stuff like grass and pollen and such.
I suppose that means my excuse is a bit out-of-date! ;)

ElTerprise: BTW is there a way to completely remove a DE without having to reinstall everything? I did that in the XFCE case but wanted to do that anyway to get enough space for a Arch Installation.
Not exactly sure. I do apologize for my late reply

Wow that sounds horrid, never had anything to that degree.
Nut allergy that came and went, but nothing severe, thankfully as i now have a love of almonds & walnuts :)
Out-of-date, maybe but it's not for everyone. just growing a few herbs is worth it if you like to cook.
But they don't need a garden, just a windowsill.

It was a hassle, but nothing too bad. I'm sure it was much more annoying for my parents.. Eep, glad the nut allergy passed, those are often the most dangerous/severe.
I've actually given some more serious thought of late to a small herb garden inside, especially now that we have a puppy that would likely adore digging up anything I tried to plant in the yard. ;) And I do love to cook, so it would probably be the perfect compromise for me. Not quite the same, but I'd still get to watch things grow. :)
What do you grow in your garden? I have memories of helping my grandmother pick vegetables and peas in her garden when I was very young, and it was easily my favorite part of going to visit her as a child.

*I think a sleep window may have just opened! I may go ahead and try to jump through it before it closes again. Should I fail, I'm sure I'll be back around shortly... otherwise, I will return when I wake!
Cancelled my Facebook account. Not a single fuck was given.
Yauou! ;)

Akhliber, herb gardens kick butt! :)
I recommend some everyday things that you like to use in cooking.
Basilika, parsley, oregano and maybe even cherry tomatoes...

Getting to watch something grow is great, even better if you reap the rewards.
Herbs are very simple, will give a few eg's but will save you a Long list :)
I grow Basil, Sage, Mint, Parsley, Tarragon and the school fave Cress.
School is my earliest memory of growing something, cress in a eggshell if i remember correctly.
Sunflowers was next with my gran, she loved to eat them and feed them to her bird.
I grow more parsley than any other herb, it's used everyday, so do go down it quickly.
Fresh/dried both ways are good, added it to my diet as a way to help stomach problems from Meds.
It worked, so i sought out more that may help...for other issues.
More traditional veg too, tomatoes, peas etc...and flowers, lilies being a favourite.

Most garden centers and even amazon stock basic herb starter kits, usually Rosemary, Sage & Thyme.
A good place to start with low cost, usually with good instructions included.
Ooooh glad I popped in before calling it a night!

akhliber I second (and third, maybe even fourth!) the calls for you to start an herb garden next year! ;) Or heck, even try something on the sill during the coming winter!

I love growing an herb or five to supplement cooking. I scatter stuff both indoors and outdoors. Right now I have oregano, basil (though that's probably going to be history sooner rather than later), chives, thyme and rosemary. Earlier in the season I had cilantro, parsley (seriously I put this on EVERYTHING LOL ;) ) and mint.

I'll eat mint leaves on a daily basis (I've loved them ever since my grandfather taught me you could eat leaves off a plant many, many long years ago) and things like oregano, basil, thyme and parsley get used a LOT in my house. I've had sage in previous years but for some reason I don't this year - sort of forgot about it actually.

I wish I could stretch my basil out longer, but it always goes to seed far too quickly and I have a hard time keeping it a long while (stuff like oregano and rosemary however will grow even in the house all through the winter, thyme and sage can be coaxed along for a while too).

And superstande I LOVE cherry tomatoes! Based on my user signature you might have guessed I'm a bit obsessed with my dog - he loves fresh cherry tomatoes as well - the funny part - he'll actually "pick" the ripe ones from pots on the deck - but only when ripe! I love it and can't help but let him grab one or two when they start to turn red ;)
Morning! *hugs and waves*

Got stuck in traffic because there was an accident. Didn't look good and the ambulance took their time taking off and when they did they didn't even go with blue lights and siren, so I guess...

Good morning, Mr Tom *hug*

Ho... If your guess is right, that's terrible :-( Other than that, are you doing okay?

...
and good morning to everyone else. *hugs, waves, helmet tips, and peanut butter for all*
Good Morning ToxicTom!
Unfortunate for that accident to happen.
I drive a moped daily and sometimes it seems people rush too much in the traffic.
Like time was more precious than diamonds, even just a few seconds...
In traffic it can be really bad to just not give a shit for the regulations...

Aww what a lecture...

Weekend's coming, let's all grow parsley and be strong pirates!

And mornings Sir BirdNest!

I guess early morning is especially dangerous - lots of tired people frustrated by the regular rush-hour...

But yeah, Friday!

To all the herb gardeners: Lavender is also a good call - the stuff is useful for so many things, not just for eating.
