AgentBirdnest: Good evenoon, Thread.

Good call (though I actually haven't played part 2 yet).
I suspect it is different for everyone, but when I need to take my mind off things, I find a fast paced FPS to be the most effective.

pimpmonkey2382.313: I like flight sims for this also.
Which ones have you got? I load up FSX now and then to get away from it all. Its amazing, but it really works ;-)

Stilton: Hi there, soldier ;-)

Any room for a Viking hotelier on that avatar of yours?
Evenoon, Stilts *tips helmet*

Depends on whether they bring the hotel with them, I suppose :-)

How's life treating you?

Stilton: Hey, ELT. Doing good here ;-)

Trying not to feel pissed off about the trouble in France and Tunisia (things like that have a way of getting under the skin), and looking for a game that will take my mind off to somewhere more sane. Maybe Serious Sam part 2...

How's Linux going?
Glad to hear that. Yes it's horrible what happened there and i have my doubts that this was a coincidence considering the attack on a Shiite mosque in Kuweit...
Serious Sam 2 sounds like a good idea or any of those type of FPS....

Edit: Just realised i forgot to answer you linux question: I mostly read a stuff about it but i'll be working on it on the weekend.

red baron, aces over europe, aces of the pacific, a10 tank killer, f-117a Nighthawk, il2 sturmovik, and some others.

Never given those a fair try. Descent would be the closest thing to a flight sim that I ever played :-p

I actually like management sims (Tropico is usually my first pick) if I want to try a more relaxing distraction.

superstande: Whops. Drunk as a lizard.
That's it.
move along.
Good evening. Working on that as i just got me some beer ;)

CarrionCrow: Yeah, it's not great. At all. The only game of the series I'd even think about halfheartedly suggesting to someone continues to be Zombie Shooter 1.

Can't complain here, trying to stay out of the ridiculous heat. Weather service says it could be higher than 105 degrees (40.6 degrees Celcius) all weekend.
I'm warmblooded, overweight and pasty white, so I want absolutely no part of that.

How's your day been?
avatar
ElTerprise: Glad to hear that but 40°C are really tough. I think i only experienced that once and i didn't like that at all...20-25°C is perfect for me....
Doing good here. Currently thinking if i should get Empire Earth 3 for the sake of completing the series....
you thing is bringing me down *burb*

I want the red baron pack on here sometime. I have the first red baron, but gog version would let me put the CD away, and also give me the 2nd game that I don't have already. :P

Life's pretty good. Mini V is having major trouble with Corel Paint-something-or-other, something their help desk are too lame brained to cure, so I'll probably reinstall her system tomorrow. Drastic, yes, but if the inside of her computer is anything like the state of her bedroom its storm trooper time. I tell her to keep the thing as healthy as possible, junk anything she doesn't want and virus check but it still clogs like a huge hair ball.

How's life in the Peanut Butter state?

Evening, ElT *return hug*
I'm doing well. I'm finally beginning to recover from this "lovely" cold :-) (woohoo! I'm smiling!)
How are you doing? Sorry I haven't been keeping up, is that toothache any better?

That's great news but it apparently means that the wedding is off ;)
Doing good here and i'm pretty much without toothache since yesterday evening which is great.

No problem but typing while drunk might not be the best idea :)

Hey everyone, how are you? I'm doing well, my Honours graduation day turned out to be pretty good.
