CarrionCrow: Also noticing another aspect of the 12 hour sale format.
It gives the customer's brain a lot of time to chew on the items presented, possibly leading them to buying more things as they consider it.

Example - I'm not a huge racing game person. Never have been, can't really remember playing them aside from F-Zero on the SNES, and that feels like it was roughly 7,000 years ago.
But...I kept looking at what's available and after a while, I found myself wondering about Flatout and Flatout 2.
The prices are good. They look like fun games. So now I'm going to end up buying those when a faster glance wouldn't have had time to trigger the analysis that led me to buying them.
Or, like me, that time gives you the opportunity to say "Nah, I don't need that". I've done that 10 or so times so far. :-)
(Damn my typing!)

Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to suscribe to your newsletter. But it does not explain why people play mario kart or the accursed evil that is the BLUE SHELL!

It goes both ways. If you have more restraint, what you described will probably occur more frequently.
In cases like mine where restraint is virtually nonexistent, it just gives the brain more chances to concoct reasons why more games are required. -laughs-

I honestly don't know on that one. I played the original, liked F-Zero way more, and never really got into Mario Kart at all.

Alright folks. I have a job for you:
Please find this fella and overwhelm them with +1 because they just gifted me both Desktop Dungeons and Xenonauts :D

Edit: corrected the link ;)

Has anyone noticed the "Ending Soon" tab went away? I was just getting used to using it.
Hard to tell which are, well, ending soon. ;)
Okay guys, advise me, we're about to die in a Michael Bay style explosion unless I manage to deactivate this SecuROM/StarForce bomb within the next 50 minutes. Grim Fandango is the red wire, The Legend of kyrandia games the blue wire.

Which one do I cut?

I'd cut Kyrandia, they're less expensive to pick up later.

That's odd because the post has the corresponding number - but yes DambSquib i the right one :)

Edit: You're right link is wonky - corrected it :).

It's not odd, remember where you are, odd is pretty normal here. ;)

Ditto.

Are you sure? We're risking a massive DRM explosion.
And the one being cut is the one chosen.

Yes seems so - like the ending soon bug. GOG would probably pretty boring without all these oddities ;)

CarrionCrow: Unfortunately, I'm referring to the electrical of the house itself. Not willing to risk homelessness for the sake of better looking games.
That's odd, because the wattage consumption is what causes most of the heating in an electrical cable, and even with the biggest baddest monster of a graphic card, it should be well below the energy consumption of your average toaster.

Well, except for a crossfire twin graphic card setup.
