ElTerprise: Oh shit...next round of the train driver strike incoming....-.-

avatar
GhostwriterDoF: Working with the public can be a lot of fun, especially if you like people in general, are not too "thin skinned", and can parry annoyances well. There are lots of interesting characters to observe that dwell around us. Looking forward to hearing about anything of interest, from your mini-adventures amidst the day to day commuters. :)
avatar
ElTerprise: Well i already had some interesting situations with the very talkative drunkards...;)
I love Claus Weselsky! Finally someone who fights for the interests of Bahn Personell!
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Doing OK here EL. Going to be working for next 2 weeks so getting ready for that.
Boss is on vacation so I'm helping out. It'll be quite a challenge, I usually on work (volunteer) 1 day a week.
So it's EL now? ;)
Only ok - well understandable with the work that is coming...

I'm generally in favour of that strike and i also think the whole is completely misrepresented in the media but this time i'll probably really affected by it as i want to get to Düsseldorf on thursday...

Edit: Clarification

Figure I'll keep you guessing. :-)
Next week I'll just call you 'Bob'. ;)

But that wouldn't make any sense at all....;)
Noticing one good thing about Icewind EE - better ways to keep crap organized.

It's funny how things as simple as ammo belts that hold thousands of arrows, bolts and sling bullets and bags of holding that you can stash extra weapons and armor in can seriously improve the experience.
But it makes sense, since the original has a bad tendency of getting bogged down in a routine of "go to dungeon, fight and pillage for a while, run back to town when all inventory slots are full. spend 20-45 minutes sifting through everything, then go back to the dungeon again".

So there are actually useful improvements in it - that's good :)

Oh and hello :)

Maybe it's a matter of expectations, but to me, Icewind EE is all about different ways to play the same game, if that makes sense.
They've put in more weapons, more armor, more items, more classes and class kits, a way to pick stuff up from dead enemies faster, some restrictions when it comes to playing an evil party which has pretty much turned this run I'm doing into an informal hard mode since the best healing stuff isn't available to me without paying gold for it, but the core game is all still the same so far.

From what I've read, there's a new quest maybe three-fourths of the way through the game, but the vast majority of it is the same in regards to plot, quests, progression, all that stuff.

Good evening to you, also. =)

Good afternoon.

I have a question for you my fellow threaddites.

Am I the only one that gets the urge to destroy Tokio with radioactive rage when he sees the scrolling bar of Galaxy's friend list?

LaPtiteBete: Ho, thank you very much !!! I'll check that at home... I can't play anything with sound ON here... unless some wednesdays when i'm all alone :-D
Thanks, lovely DD !!!
**Crushing thankful hugs !!**
The clips are just shortened versions of the actual scene, so keep in mind it cuts of the dialogue between several characters at the start and the end. So we did all the extra bits, and the part you see on the clip. The kids were a bit shy at first, but after a bit they warmed up to it all and started doing some of the parts themselves. We picked a more war like play as it was mainly for the boys, as the girls had karaoke. Next time we will probably do something with some more interaction and more varied dialogues for both groups to enjoy.

We only did a few scenes, as the kids spend a lot of time wanting to know more about Shakespeare and how the plays were put on and things like that. I told them that next time I will see about buying them each a book on Shakespeare, that way they can learn more at their own pace. I will go visit one of my local book stores and see if they can help and order me enough copies to go around for the kids.

LaPtiteBete: Stop flattering me too, DD !!! n__n
**Hilarious hug**
War ? What war ? I don't know what you mean !! **whistles**
And my Agent is very pretty in a dress !! ;-p
Who is flattering you? It is a true statement, you are and awesome and lovely Owl. I think you are just being too modest. :-)

*big awesome hug for the modest Owl*

Yeah that scrolling bar is terrible...

ElTerprise: Hello. How are you today?

avatar
l0rdtr3k: Well,I'm done with PC gaming for a while.I'm just bored of the "mmustard race" shit and all elitism that comes with it.
I'm done with not being able to play games without giveng an arm and a leg just to upgrade my PC.
avatar
ElTerprise: I'm not a friend of that elitism either. Staying away from PC gaming might renew the interest in it though and in the mean time you can do other activities you like :)
It's not elitism when it's true.
We were given our right to rule by the neckbeard of silicon valley, his arm clad in a cheetos stained sweater, held aloft the 8086 from the depths of his basement, signifying by virtue of nerddom that we were to lord it over those who didn't know what high memory was.
Keep farming mud filthy console peasants. Or you shall witness first hand the violence inherent in the system.

I would answer, but I am not sure I know what you are talking about. Who or what is Tokio (Tokyo?), and what is wrong with the scrolling bar in Galaxy?

Also, good afternoon! :-)

That's the thing. There aren't changes for the most part on a base level, aside from the illogical evil restrictions on things.
If you go through the EE game without using any class kits? It's the same thing, aside from extra items and spells.
Right now, my playthrough is a bit different because I chose to add kits to most of my party members.
But it all boils down to newer ways to run the same maze.
Hi, all, just popped in to say that I'm still alive. I've 13 days left to find a job... Will be sending out three applications today, so fingers crossed!

Your geek-fu is weak battle nun. You would be destroyed at a Con. Not that I can imagine you at one anyways.

Yes, Tokio=Tokyo, it's in fact and old spelling and the preferred one for most languages that consider y a consonant and don't change the sound of a letter depending on time of the day.

Take a look at the friends list in galaxy, it ignores the mouse wheel unless you click on it, which opens up a dialog chatbox with whoever you click on, and the scrollbar is a thin line that looks more like a shading effect than an interface tool.
