Tacos and burritos are pretty much always good.
Maybe I'll have some of those tomorrow, since tonight is spaghetti night.

i made carne asada and used this recipe: http://thelatinkitchen.com/r/recipe/carne-asada-marinade
i used american lager (yuengling) and that was a mistake. a bit too bitter.

my next goal is to make carnitas.

my spaghetti tomorrow will be this recipe ;)

edit: and yes, no, broccoli tacos sounds repulsive, and i like broccoli.

And raw broccoli at that. Just an unhappy person trying to gnaw through fibrous stems mixed with crunchy tortilla textures.

That's an interesting recipe, particularly with the soy sauce. Will have to try it at some point.

Honestly? I'd rather devise a recipe for broccoli tacos than eat the kind of "spaghetti" you have in mind.
That stuff is as much spaghetti as Chef Boyardee canned ravioli is actual Italian food.

Shut your mouth, chef b makes the best beefaroni evah. You go and try to find an Italian restaurant that can make a better beefaroni.

I don't know which would be worse: crunchy taco shell and raw broccoli or crunchy shell and boiled broccoli. Or worse in a burrito. :(



Edit: and yeah nothing says mexican quite like "soy sauce"

In 2013 and 2014 it started in the middle of June. That's what I'm going by, estimate-wise.

I'll never find a restaurant like that because anyone who tries to keep one going on "food" like that will fail miserably and go out of business.

That sounds like a variation. I can make both for you and you can decide which one you prefer - hard stem or rubbery.
(Tough choice, because those both sound delicious...)

Hmm. I would have imagined you weeping because of a killer stomach ache after eating that vile substance.

Yes, that sounds like a thoughtful, reasonable idea. As such, I will have to respectfully decline using it, instead shoving taco shells full of enormous broccoli florets. =)

Okay, so I said to ghostwriterdof that I would try to start posting some random First World War facts. Maybe not every day, but I will do them ever now and then, unless people hate them then I will stop. They will just be short, and some will be a bit meh, so don't expect anything too fancy.

First World War Short Fact #1:
At the start of the war, Britain's Expeditionary Force was but a fraction of the size of the French, German, or Russian conscripted armies. But the British army made up for this by fielding an army of disciplined and well trained soldiers, boasting expert marksmanship. This training and discipline allowed the Expeditionary Force to compete with the larger nations, buying time until the ranks of the British army could also be bolstered via conscription. Britain's preference to prefer quality over quantity with her armed forces is what allowed a small island Kingdom to forge the largest Empire in history.

By mid August 1914, the British had approximately 48 battalions in the field (a battalion's strength is 1,000 soldiers). Compare this to Belgium, with 120 battalions, and with both France and Germany fielding over 1,000 battalions each. As the war progressed, each side would see these numbers increase, as conscription was introduced in the UK and intensified in many other waring nations
