LaPtiteBete: Totally right... nevermind... I only use 11,09% of my brain today... >__< and mostly for vital stuff...
Hum... nope... I feel too tired to yell or make wide moves anyway n__o
**Just a random big lazy hug**
Now I am trying to remember if I ever have used just "okay"? I know my partner finds it strange that generally I am always happy no matter what, even when things are no so good. I will always just put on a smile and carry on. It works on most people, but she can always see past that if something is wrong, but most the time I am just generally a happy person and enjoying life, even the less nice parts.

*big energising happy hug*

moonshineshadow: Interesting. It is always great to learn about unknown stuff *thank you hug*
avatar
ddickinson: I told you it was not too bad. And it's so much better and easier butchering an animal without the blood, as that stuff gets everywhere.
Perhaps in return, someday you will explain how Owl's star catching machine works. :-)
Once my paper is officially published end of May, I could post a graphic and try to explain my topology a bit if someone is interested in hearing the technical stuff ;-)
But of course I can only explain the topology and its normal applications and not how it works in relation to the special mission of star catching, that is top secret :P

avatar
moonshineshadow: That sounds like fun :D
avatar
ddickinson: Well the same goes for you, you could use German, and we could promise not to translate it. But that might not work as well, as there are lots of Germans in here who would understand. :-)
*puts on straight face* Of course I would never do that, I am too polite for swearing :P

LaPtiteBete: Hey !!... No way, Battle Sister (from the opposing half) !!! ):-|
That's fine. I will just get Agent to tell me, we all know he will do anything for peanut butter and hugs. :-)
avatar
LaPtiteBete: 'morning, everyone ! =__=
**Exhausted hugs, weak waves, and lukewarm tea...**
How are you doing ?...
Lukewarm tea...? No, no, no. -passes along a giant soup mug full of extra-strong dark coffee-
You need something with a lot more punch, looks like. =)

ddickinson: I have read them all, at one time or another. I can't say I remember them all, as some I read a long time ago, but most of them are enjoyable, when you take into account their age. Are you enjoying Chaucer? Does that mean you have been reading the Canterbury Tales?
Yes, I'm actually writing my thesis on women in Chaucer's works - in this case the Legend of Good Women, Troilus and Criseyde and the Canterbury Tales. It is quite enjoyable, if only because one gets the sense that Chaucer is never entirely straight-faced in whatever he does - there's always a sense of humour, of irony, I think. And it's impressive that you've read all of Shakespeare's works! I still need to get down to that someday. :) Which one is your favourite?

LaPtiteBete: A presentation ?... when ?...
Cool about your grandmother... :-) Hope she's doing well, and that you'll spend a nice day together !...
I wish I still had my grand-mothers too... I miss them... :'-|
Next week Tuesday. I'm not looking forward to it too much. :P

Thank you! I'm sure it will be a good day. My grandmother is unfortunately not very mobile anymore and she's got some health issues, but she's always very cheery and it's nice to see her.

*big hug* I'm sorry to hear that. I still have all my grandparents save for the grandfather of the one I'm visiting tomorrow. He died when my mother was pregnant with me, so unfortunately I never got to know him, though I've heard a lot about him.

I am not sure I would be able to understand it, but it would be great to hear about your work sometime. I bet it is very interesting.

Now I know German women can swear. When I was at university I had a German room mate for a while (called Mina). And while I love the German accent and find it very nice, I know for a fact that she could swear like the best of them. I never really knew what she was saying, but she just turned from a sweet girl with a soft spoken voice, to some banshee hurling abuse over the phone to her boyfriend back in Germany. Very entertaining, and I am sure if I knew German it would have been fun to hear all the words. :-)

Perhaps this is a conspiracy by the gogbear to get more love, since everyone will be happy if we get him back :D

FearfulSymmetry: Well, my subscription costs slightly less than I would pay to see two movies a month. As I see at least four and sometimes more, I think I get good value for my money, even if not all movies are equally great. And sometimes there are loads of awesome movies at once that I'd normally not be able to afford to go see. :)
That's right. Maybe i should do the math sometimes to see if it would be actually cheaper for me too.

I actually have a copy of The Canterbury Tales in my car, I keep with with me as sometimes my nieces are at the farm and they have been enjoying it. I also like how it seems to have a comic element to it, and it's interesting to see that even after all this time, people are still enjoying the comedy and the writing.

I have read most (if not all) of Shakespeare's sonnets as well. When I was at university the library had his complete works, and I just used to read them while passing some time. I am not sure if I have a favourite, I enjoyed the two you mentioned, as well as things like Hamlet, Julius Caesar, and The Tempest. It's hard to pick as I found many of them enjoyable. The most recent I read was Henry V, and I find it a very nice play, with some good dialogue. I love history, so I tend to enjoy his historical plays quite a lot.

Or so you think, do not forget who was the ringleader regarding the whole birthday ninja gifting. :-)
