EndreWhiteMane: Endre's here. Just not very talkative today. ;)
Moin, why is that so? And how are you doing?
avatar
ElTerprise: Pretty good so far. Took some notes for the university paper and helped my sister with her installing linux on an old netbook (but only via telephone as she lives in Kiel).

How was your day so far?
My day has been go so far, very wet and cold again, but at least I am not covered in mud today.

Yay! Endre is here!

*Big strong hug*

We missed you. Sorry to hear you are not very talkative today, I hope everything is okay?

ddickinson: It must be difficult not seeing your kids before you go to bed. I know that is one of the things that my brothers hate the most about working late. I try to take on as much as I can towards the end of the day, so that they can go home as early as they can and hopefully spend some time with their family before the kids need to be in bed. If it makes you feel any better, my regular day is 12+ hours, and when I am working longer like I am recently, then it can be anywhere from 14-20 hours a day.

Well I hope your day goes well, even if you are stuck at work, and hopefully a nice fun weekend will help make up for the long week of work.

*big hug*
*Big thank you hug* :-)

12-20 hours... That's really tough. I guess I wouldn't qualify as farmer, I'd probably drop dead after a week...
Max I can take is about 14 hours a day in crunch-mode, for about two weeks, then I start feeling burnout and work speed gets slowed to almost a halt. But after 14 hours of writing code my brain feels like it's going to run out of my ears any moment...

I'll see what the weekend brings. My wife probably has to do a lot of work for her training programme and also she's writing job applications. Could be I have the children for most of the weekend. I hope we can squeeze in some time when we all four can do something nice together. The weather is changeable so we'll probably decide operationally what to do.

moonshineshadow: Sounds like a solid plan. Only question would be if Crow is perhaps on a self-torturing trip again, so if Icewind Dale does not work, we should perhaps talk about the pigeon dating sim :D
avatar
ddickinson: Good idea.

So:

1) Endre:
"Moon, shall we get our bikinis out and do some mud wrestling in the open for everyone to see, especially those with giant telescopes that they like to use to spy on us in Europe?"
Really incredible, we did not even need to actually talk about it, the idea alone was enough for Endre to come out of hiding :D

moonshineshadow: *big hug* Everything ok? We did not see you yesterday and missed you.
Just fighting with some insurance stuff.
Be more talkative later when I get this sorted.

*hugs/handshakes/waves to all*

*big comforting hug* ok :-) Hope you can get it sorted out soon. Perhaps we should put some of the insurance people in owls oubliette :D

Wet and cold, hmm? Sounds like the weather we had until midday here....

Glad to hear that you're not covered in mud today :).

That's okay, just don't die near the pigs, they will eat anything. :-)

I hope you are able to spend some time with your wife and your kids over the weekend. What do you think you will do to keep your kids occupied?

*Goes back to get changed into regular clothes*

Please, and fill it with poisonous snakes first if you would. ;)

Do you need anyone talking out? Just give us the names and addresses and we will take care of them for you. No one messes with our little family and gets away with it. :-)

I hope things will be sorted soon and that you can be your wonderful self again.

*Big comforting bikini hug before I get changed back into my work clothes*

That should do for now thanks. ;)

ZenWan:
Thanks for this but not quite what I was looking for.

Ixamyakxim: Anyone in here know how I can do an account refresh without clicking a link? Where do I get to the page from the GoG front page or my account tab?
avatar
moonshineshadow: There is no way you can do that without clicking the link. Even the support guys give you only the link.
Never would have guessed that - thanks for the info!

Oochhh........*puts away the complete medieval dungeon fun set* :P
Finally "finished" moving in to the new place. It's light years better than the previous apartment, with the biggest gain being an in-unit washer/dryer.
