Good afternoon!
Did I miss anything fun while I was away? Any sign of Endre? And where are Crow and Agent today?
LaPtiteBete: ** Huge thankful hug ** Thank you so much for your kind wishes... your words are really comforting...
And... I need to find a random mad scientist for the teleportation aspect, then... ):'-|
*Even more big comforting hugs* Perhaps Agent will know a mad scientist, those Americans sure do like to dabble in things that people should really leave alone. :-)
toxicTom: Late reply again :-)
Concerning long hours: Well it can't be helped *sigh*. Additionally I had to bring the little one to the kindergarten today, which means I delivered her at 8am and was in the office only at 9. With a regular 8h day plus lunch break I'll leave the office at about 6pm. Going home takes me about an hour - 7pm, at this time the kids should be in bed or on their way there.
If I don't have to deliver the little one, I often manage to start working at 7am +/- a few minutes. When I'm home at 5pm I can at least help my wife with preparing dinner, cleaning the kids and other chores. But often I still have to work until 6/7pm when project pressure is high.
It must be difficult not seeing your kids before you go to bed. I know that is one of the things that my brothers hate the most about working late. I try to take on as much as I can towards the end of the day, so that they can go home as early as they can and hopefully spend some time with their family before the kids need to be in bed. If it makes you feel any better, my regular day is 12+ hours, and when I am working longer like I am recently, then it can be anywhere from 14-20 hours a day.
Well I hope your day goes well, even if you are stuck at work, and hopefully a nice fun weekend will help make up for the long week of work.
*big hug*
