Well I am going to call it a night, these long days are tiring me out a little. Hopefully tonight I can actually get some sleep and not end up with some horrible memories coming back to me in my sleep and keeping me awake.
Take care, everyone, and have a good evening!
*goodnight hugs and waves*
EndreWhiteMane: Boring day here (which is a good thing) a little housework and a lot of sleep.
I am glad you are taking it easy and not doing too much while you have a bad knee. Is the ice still helping with the discomfort?
Sleeping actually sounds like a very good idea. :-)
adaliabooks: The perfect game has been sitting in my head slowly evolving for years, but I'm nowhere near having the time or skills to make it. What I'm planning now is a cut down version that should hopefully grasp a lot of bigger ideas and only miss out some of the eye candy and accessibility.
But if this iteration doesn't work, one of them will eventually :)
The problem was we booked events for the summer, and then got the regular local pitches which have been great and we would rather do, but we've got to do both side by side for now, which has left us with not many days where we don't have some work to do... I'm not too worried about the winter now as I think the local stuff will still go strong and we just won't bother with all the events we did last year that made no money, but we'll still try and put some money aside just in case.
You are probably making a smart choice by picking something a little cut down from the original. Maybe if you aim for less complex games to start with, you will be able to get more experience and maybe even publish a few of the smaller games. This could help you in the long run of publishing your dream game.
Maybe a year of hard work this year will allow you to have more holidays next year. I am sure in the end all your hard work will be worth while and you will find a good balance between work and your personal life, something which is always hard when you work for yourself. Hopefully your local events will be viable for you during the winter months.
CarrionCrow: It happens a lot. No big thing there.
That's an interesting looking bed, but it'd cut into my game budget. -laughs-
It's good that the time passed well, at least. Will keep hoping that you get plenty of rest at night to make up for the workload so you're not wiped out during your downtime.
I think the picture is actually a sofa bed, but I am not sure it looks that comfy.
Thank you for the kind words and all your concern, you are very sweet, and I certainly appreciate it. I will be fine, hopefully I can get a full nights sleep tonight and I should be fine.
