CarrionCrow: Given how recently a bunch of those came out, I'd be incredibly surprised if GOG did a huge sale on all Star Wars items.
They might do one involving the early titles like they did for Insomnia, though.

BillyMaysFan59: Wave II was going on January 20-27. That was almost 3 months ago now. There's a slim chance that a sale on the newer releases may happen.... we can dream :)
I'm all for more sales. KOTOR 2's my top priority from the pack right now, so that one on discount, maybe along with Empire at War since they spiked the price on it, would be good. =)

I'd probably buy Rogue Squadron (unless it runs like crap on Wine) and a DRM free copy of KotOR 2. Maybe 1 or 2 of the strategy titles as well. The size of my haul would depend on how good the discounts are though.

-laughs- Yeah, the price is always a factor.
Interesting that you mention Rogue Squadron, put that one back on the updated list a bit ago.
Good looking title, even if I suck really badly at flying games.

From what I know, Rogue Squadron is more of an arcade-ey action/shooter game than a flight simulator. I'm not exactly sure though, I'd have to play it and find out.

Speaking of playing..... in IWD I'm still in the Vale of Shadows. I had to go back to the town and get ammo because my 2 main archers (B'aerpits and Garrett) ran out of ammo. A majority of the battles against bizarre monsters are easier when using ranged attacks and spells, so I figured 16 hours of travel time would be worth it. :)

Ammo's always important. Trying to disrupt spellcasters who have a protective wall of enemies in front turns ugly fast without the ability to shoot them in the face.
Enchanted ammo's good for when you've got creatures like wights who are immune to normal projectiles and have level drain attacks when you try to put them down in melee.

Maybe when I get to IWD2 I could have all my party members specialize in ranged weapons/spellcasting. (assuming IWD2 is going to be more of the same stuff)

Anyways, I'm off for the day! I now leave y'all with a Lego SW stop motion film:

When you see the sheer level of party options compared to Icewind 1, you should be pleased. So many more ways to build a party with 2.

Have a good night, sleep well when you get there. =)
Hi to you, Crow and anyone who's reading - probably precious few at this hour. I dropped in yesterday afternoon, but was confronted by soy lattes, so I beat a hasty retreat. No offence to BillyMaysFan, but I'm glad he's gone now, so that I can bring out the real coffee.

Can I pour you a mug? Good plain black coffee, no strange additives, not even sugar.

I had to look up the games you mentioned, I'm shamefully ignorant about games - hangs head - and never seem to know which game people are talking about when they use acronyms. I'll get better if I hang around this thread long enough.

Good morning. =)

This does seem to be the lull across time zones. Early morning in Europe, late night on the U.S. east coast.
I'm in the earliest time zone of them all. (Unless someone from Hawaii shows up.)

No worries, I think both soy lattes and regular coffee can coexist. I just know which one I'll be drinking at all times. ;)

If you have a question, feel free to ask. Wouldn't begin to say I know everything, but I might know which ones people are referring to.

How is the start of the new week treating you?

You're right, it's a kind of lull, but I don't really mind that, I don't do well in crowds. I looked up the latest game that i didn't know, it was the Star Wars Knights one KOTOR, so now I have learned a new thing. Always good to learn something new everyday. :-D

Looking forward to the new week and the daily cliffwalk, it's still cool in the mornings, and quite cloudy at present, so I enjoy it very much. Once the real heat of the summer takes hold, we don't see clouds for months on end. You're also used to that, I'm sure.

How are things in your part of the world?

Neither do I, typically. The insulation inherent in this format helps, but even then it can begin to overwhelm.

-laughs- Yes, that is a good thing. Not sure how often I do that, but it's a goal worth working towards.

That is a truly lovely view you posted. With that to gaze upon, I could get out of my area and take things in a bit more.
Only so many times you can think to yourself, "That's a field of nothing but sand and weeds." before any possible enjoyment is lost.

Yes, definitely. Summer will be here soon, and if I'm going to be honest with myself, it's not as if I'm going to seek out other things. I'll just be here as the temperature steadily rises to a point that I grow concerned about the heat doing permanent damage to my computer, day after day, week after week for a few months.

Ever find yourself awake in the middle of the night, no particular reason, not sure whether you're not tired enough or simply unwilling to sleep, stringing together moments of distraction a few seconds or minutes at a time, until either fatigue or boredom drag you off into unconsciousness?
It's another night like that.

It's very beautiful indeed - as long as you are there early in the morning. Crowds tend to spoil it for me, not to mention the heat. Winters are better, fewer people also. I have a particular affinity for water, I don't do well in hot, dry places, so I feel for you in that desert.

No chance of using some of your game money to get a small portable aircon unit? It will cost you more in the long run if your computer gives up, and it must struggle in the heat. I have a similar problem.

I'm often awake in the middle of the night, although i go to bed early. I just lie there worrying, I have a higher degree in worrying and I'm an expert at it. ;-) I'm always happy when fatigue puts a stop to that for a while. Maybe you should force yourself to go to bed when you feel like this, just as an experiment? Not that I'm able to give advice on this problem!

Moin, ElT, always good to see you. Glad you're doing well, you always seem like such a cheerful person, even when things aren't going well for you. You are a very uplifting presence in the forum. :-)
