CarrionCrow: Good evening. =)

Combination of Pepsi and coffee here at the moment. Seems to be working somewhat.

How's your day been, aside from having to deal with garbage presentations and what-not?
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Pepsi and coffee mix ? >__< ... *pouarkh*...
My day wasn't too bad, if you remove all was related to this presentation thing (so, 91,27%) ^^
What about you, Crow ? :)
Any interest in the "tower of bundles" sale so far... ?
-laughs- They're not mixed, alternating between the two.

So, you ended up with 8.73 percent of a day that wasn't an obnoxious pain. That's not a great percentage...

Can't complain here. Quiet day, houseworks, errands, the usual.

Nothing yet. The only item that I would've called high priority would be Broken Sword 5, and Moonshine already ninja gifted that to me.
Thinking the odds of me going after a whole bundle will be if something like an Interplay pack shows up.
All my high-priority things are too expensive and/or too recent to figure they'll be a part of this sale.

91,27 % ? Oh dear.... *big cheering up hug*

LaPtiteBete: O__O ... (eyes bulging out)... ouch !!!
I'm really glad that you feel great today, with nothing at all to bother you !!! \o/
I'm doing ... not too bad, but, well... this is really stressful. It's definitely not my thing :-(
And hell yeah, I'm going to celebrate until I collapse from exhaustion !!! n__o
Any plans for today ?? :)
I can only imagine :-/ ... Do you have to do it often? Good luck with everything. I hope it won't be too painful. Just picture everyone naked.... I know you have a naughty mind, so it should be easy n__n ... (Seriously though, I hope it goes well. Best of luck!!)
My plans? Hmm... nothing crazy... I suppose I might try one of these new games that a lovely bird from an unnamed western European country gave me ;-)

*big slimmy hug* Hello Agent!

CarrionCrow: -laughs- You sound so much like me with that statement. I play games windowed with Firefox open so I can still keep an eye on things.

Also, I've got a scenario for you, if you have a moment - Summer's coming, and summer is always brutal around here. 100+ degrees Fahrenheit for weeks at a time.
Problem is, the space I have is short on cooling with all the tech loaded up, so there's really no AC in here.
Combine that with the computer stuff, and it ends up being maybe 100 to 105 degrees in here every day aside from a few hours in the middle of the night.

That leads into my dilemma - I'm thinking of grabbing a New 3DS. Other parts of the house do have AC, they're comfortable. With the handheld, I could make use of it and not fry for 3-4 months.
But, the Summer sale is coming. If I don't take advantage of that, I don't get another chance for 6 months.
I don't want to be annoyed for half a year over a sale I didn't pillage like crazy.

Which way would you go?
That's pretty much me too, except with Chrome XD
Seems to work most of the time, but some games seem determined to turn my laptop into a frying pan...

That really depends... I would highly recommend a 3DS, and the New 3DS certainly looks like the way to go, if for nothing other than the Xenoblade remake. But it's an expensive hobby, much more so than PC gaming. And I know your wishlist drives you crazy, so having another one with DS and 3DS games you want and less money to spend on either might annoy you.
So it depends whether the comfort of being able to game in the cool air conditioned room would out weigh the extra annoyance of wishlist stuff.

toxicTom: I couldn't play this way. When I play the game I want to really sink in, not think about other things. Hard enough to do it with all the real life stuff happening around me.
But I also know people who play games and have the TV on and (non-game) music as well... and probably they are "what's-apping" at the same time too.
*Raises hand*

I'm one of those people... I always used to game with music on, these days the TV is always on in the background (but not anything I'm actually watching).

Yeah, I've thought about the cost factor. That's what keeps me from going console crazy. 20 dollars can get quite a few GOG games, versus only one for a console.
Figuring I'd end up with RPG's and strategy games, so that would cut the wishlist down for a handheld. Grab a few cheap ones a month, steadily work my way through them.
It's not helping that Walmart has a pretty good deal going, cost would be around 265 with tax, but I'd have the New 3DS and Monster Hunter 4 to play until I started getting things like Etrian Odyssey.
What keeps bugging me is the GOG list. The whole phase of buying so much stuff won't feel complete until the list is cleared.
Damn...those GOGbears are hunting me again...*sigh*

Just saw this - interesting... wonder if it's isolated or something else (I now read far too much into any and all site related events ;) )

I've only played the demos, but I didn't really like Monster Hunter much.. can't see what the fuss is about. But the Etrian Odyssey demo I played was fun and I'm looking forward to getting them.
But the price is definitely a consideration with any console games, that's why I've been mainly PC gaming.
Seriously considering that rental place though, seems like a much more manageable way to play all the games I've missed on Wii U and 3DS without breaking the bank, and still leave me money for PC stuff :)

I've never played any of the series before, only heard about them. Figured that since the deal comes with a choice from ten games and that's one of the options, it'd be a good time to try it, get it for less than retail as a bonus.

That's why I'm not getting a PS 3. Too much cost, short and long term. Not really wanting to start over building a huge collection from scratch again.

I'd say go for it if it's reasonable. Only thing more annoying than having to spend heavily on a console is having bought it and having nothing to play on it. Seems like it'd be a much more cost-effective choice.
