moonshineshadow: Yeah the food stuff with the starving can get a bit annoying. That is a Legend of Grimrock mechanic. For example Lands of Lore or Anvil of Dawn don't have that.
In regards of the magic system: I was never much into those magic stuff, so normally I ended up using always the same spell and if something specific was needed I had to look up the spells :D
It has been nothing that would put me off playing, just a little annoying to have to keep managing food and remembering spells. I would have preferred it if each square cast a spell, instead of having to remember or look up the different spell combinations. But the game is fun, after I got used to the controls. They are not hard controls (far from it), but it took me a little time to get accustomed to it all.

Seems so that i missed them but...that one's really funny...:).
Reminds me a bit of some of the stuff Laibach is (was) doing....

Hi, all! Hope everyone's doing well. I'm still around, but my forum trips have been less frequent. Given the current round of craziness with people's reactions to the W3 expansions, I suspect I'll continue to be a rare-ish visitor. (Seriously, I fail to understand how "Hey, we're going to release two huge expansions, and if you want to, you can order it now!" equates to "We're going to nickel-and-dime you to death and laugh all the way to the bank while we plan on DRM!" *facepalm*)

If you want my attention quickly, send me a PM or a message on Steam. I promise I'll answer, even if it takes me a bit sometimes. :)

*extra big hug* You are right, the reactions are a bit extreme. If the expensions are really having a lot of content like expensions of old times, they should be sold seperately. But I have to admit for me it sounds a bit like CDPR is desperate for money, since they start selling the expensions even before the game is out :D But that is probably just bad marketing (at least in my eyes)

*hugs back* Yeah - two expansions that are supposed to be 30 hours of play altogether? I think that sounds pretty dang good, almost as if they're - gasp! - expansions rather than "standard" DLC. I remember back in the day when expansions were things people got excited over, not upset by. I won't be buying it ahead of time only because of our finances. I still plan on pre-purchasing W3 before its release because I trust CDPR. They might be having financial issues, but I don't think that following what all the other devs/publishers have been doing for the last decade immediately means that the company is in trouble or has turned to the Dark Side. Bad marketing to announce it before the release of the main game? Probably. But then, GOG has seemed to have that issue for a while, so it doesn't really surprise me that their parent company would have some of the same issues.

I don`t know Leibach, maybe I should search a few songs on youtube. But J.B.O. was great in the 90s. Especially the album "Explizite Lyrik" is fantastic. Songs like "Mei Alde is im Playboy drin" (Centerfold), "Schlumpfozid im Stadtgebiet" (Schlumpflied) and "Ka Alda, ka G`schrei" (No woman, no cry) are fantastic.

Hello uhm *hug* or *wave* ;). I don't get it either. If it's true what they're promising it sounds like a classic expansion pack but naming it Expansion pass Isn't probably the best idea. It's sounds a lot like season pass an there have been season passes with bad value lately...

I found JBO on Spotify so i think i'll listen to some of their songs.

Laibach is slovenian (industrial) band who are said to influenced Rammstein (i don't like Rammstein though). They did some hilarious cover versions of some songs and some national anthems.
They turned live is live from Opus into some Wagnerian Experience for example or literally translated a song from Queen into german to uncover its rather ambivalent lyrics...

It's a shame we won't be seeing you around as much, but I agree with you about the recent announcement. I think it was just poor marketing (announcing it before The Witcher 3 is released, calling it an expansion pass (sounds a bit too much like season pass), etc). Like some people have said, it is an expansion, not a DLC as such. And in the good old days you paid money for a decent expansion, rather than getting exploited by petty DLCs that should be free anyway.

*Big hug. And some extra hugs to tide you over in case we don't see you for a while*

Well, maybe some will call them epensions, because some peaople think they are expensive, but I believe that they are more like the expansions we had back in the 90s! :-)
Hey look, moonshineshadow is almost at 4 stars!

On another note... I've got a question about Icewind Dale: Is it possible to start the game with less than 6 characters in your party? Because I'm having trouble getting in to the game for some reason...maybe having less characters would help? I dunno.
