A flight/combat simulator eh? I haven't really had much experience with them but I tend to prefer the space ones, thus I'd point you in the direction of either Tie Fighter or Strike Suit Zero.

Never played Wings of Prey, but it seems filled with eye candy, and that's very important in a 3D flight simulator.

I still remember playing mig-29 on a BBC Acorn, and while the graphics were nifty for its time. I remember crashing one too many times into the side of a mountain because I couldn't tell how far away that green texture-less triangle actually was.

I have my eye on Wings of Prey as well since it looks great, but I don’t know anything about it and will have to watch some gameplay videos and read reviews before I can make a decision about getting it, or not (probably will).

I’ve played IL2 Sturmovik a lot, (have original game discs for the Forgotten Battles and Pacific War, which is combined in IL2 1946). There are a lot of community patches as well, that adds dozens more planes and some maps, but you don’t have to download those addons to get a great game experience. It is a bit old in graphics, doesn’t look as good as Wings of Prey, but the planes are coded to fly realistically and the AI uses that to make battles feel real as well. (Plus it’s only 2.99 on sale!)

Pfft... I don't get injured by rib-crushing hugs anymore... You trained me to withstand them, remember ;-p
