LaPtiteBete: Good Morning GOG !
*Hugs, waves, and coffee*
avatar
AgentBirdnest: *Epic ninja crushing hug*
Good morning Owl.

And good morning everyone else! *tips helmet to adalia and Crow* ... *hug for the little blob*
Hey Agent *tips imaginary hat*
Good to see you back :)
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Hey, Adalia !! :) What's up ?
avatar
adaliabooks: Not much right now, still in bed XD
The perks of self employment ;)
I'm so jealous. o__<

moonshineshadow: *good morning hugs for owl, Agent and cute blob*
*good morning wave for adalia*
*waves*

Morning Moon! (I always feel like I'm on a kids TV show when I say that... XD)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Good morning. =) -passes a fresh mug of coffee over-

How're you doing today?
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Thanks for the fresh mug of coffee !!! \o/
... a bit tired, lots of work to do (and people already bothering me on the phone... early in the morning >__o), but otherwise I'm doing good, thanks. Looking forwards to tonight !...
What about you ? :)
avatar
l0rdtr3k: Hello Owl! The Owlet doing fine?
Want some chocolate with the coffee? You can't have enough caffeine.
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Hello little blob !
**Good morning tight hug**
How are you doing today ?
No, I never have enough coffee, I'm a bit like Crow for this :)
And yes, I wouldn't say no to some nice chocolate, thanks !... what kind of chocolate is it ?...
The owlets are fine, thanks !! :)
Anytime. It's always available. ;)

Oh, the joys of being popular. It's probably seen as unprofessional to tell people on the phone to stop calling.

Singing along badly to some loud music, getting ready to have another cup of coffee, being pleased that my deathtrap goat game has a windowed mode.
Just another night. -laughs-

ElTerprise: Good Morning everybody (to the germans here: Moin!) :).

("Moin" ? õ__ô ... the h*ll is that ?...)
This might help... ^^

A hug would be nice :). And im fine this morning.

Lol.
I can highly recommend self employment, other than the frequent money worries.

CarrionCrow: Is there any such thing?

Hmm. That one must have a hell of a difficulty level, given your experience with Rogue-likes. Might have to bump it up on the list.
What do you have to do in order to unlock more choices?
avatar
adaliabooks: Thanks for the compliment, but my experience doesn't count for much.. you die a lot in roguelikes, that's just how it works. Until you strike it lucky with a combo that works and can get through the game. I remember in ADOM realising that a Troll Healer born under the sign of the candle practically regenerated in real time, or actually getting how mages or achers worked and that they were awesome.
So far most of the classes seem reasonably decent, just need to get the hang of it.

That's the problem, I have no idea. I unlocked one by completing a quest, so I imagine others are the same. I could look up a guide but that would ruin the surprise. So I'm just exploring the world (when I get that far) and hoping to find stuff.
First thought - "Well, that does sound difficult."
Second thought - "We have to install that next."

Should be fun figuring it all out. Between that, FTL, Dungeons of Dredmor and SOTS The Pit, should be set for Rogue-likes for a while.

LaPtiteBete: Wow, you're well organized Moon :D \o/
** Good morning extra tight hug **
Are you still feeling "ok" ? Are you done with your top-secret report ? or still a lot of work to do before the weekend... ?
*big return hug* still working on the report and it is not top secret :P Need to build some more simulations to validate stuff.

Thanks. Glad to be back. Things are going fine, as usual. I heard you completed SMB! Congrats! :-D

I know you're the most reliable coffee provider here ;) ... open almost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week !
If I was popular, I would hire someone to answer the phone in my place (I hate phones).
Escape Goat, heh... 1 or 2 ?... how many levels cleared ? :)
(What are you singing loud and badly ? lol)

PalioDeMonte: Hello everybody!!!!

*welcome wave* You fit right in here with the lot of coffee addicts :D

It's funny, I wouldn't dream of playing SMB because of the difficulty level, but I adore roguelikes. I think the randomness and the (usually) large choice of classes makes them pretty much my ideal game, it's like a different game every time you play.

I'd recommend FTL as an intro to roguelikes, it's kind of got the whole experience in sort of bite sized form (ie it's actually possible to win the game, and to do so in one sitting)

But ADOM will always be my favourite, and up there as one of my favourite games of all time. It's a gem of a game. It manages to cram some realistic elements into it; your stats improve through use, as do your skills and weapon skills, it's got hunger but it's not too irritating. Plus although largely random it's got a fixed overworld and certain other fixed areas that are part of quests, so it's got a bit of a story and a goal to reach for too.

Moin. *waves* Ah coffee - need more of it :).
