Hmm. That one must have a hell of a difficulty level, given your experience with Rogue-likes. Might have to bump it up on the list.
What do you have to do in order to unlock more choices?

So far most of the classes seem reasonably decent, just need to get the hang of it.
That's the problem, I have no idea. I unlocked one by completing a quest, so I imagine others are the same. I could look up a guide but that would ruin the surprise. So I'm just exploring the world (when I get that far) and hoping to find stuff.
Second thought - "We have to install that next."
Should be fun figuring it all out. Between that, FTL, Dungeons of Dredmor and SOTS The Pit, should be set for Rogue-likes for a while.

** Good morning extra tight hug **
Are you still feeling "ok" ? Are you done with your top-secret report ? or still a lot of work to do before the weekend... ?

Oh, the joys of being popular. It's probably seen as unprofessional to tell people on the phone to stop calling.
Singing along badly to some loud music, getting ready to have another cup of coffee, being pleased that my deathtrap goat game has a windowed mode.
Just another night. -laughs-
If I was popular, I would hire someone to answer the phone in my place (I hate phones).
Escape Goat, heh... 1 or 2 ?... how many levels cleared ? :)
(What are you singing loud and badly ? lol)

I'd recommend FTL as an intro to roguelikes, it's kind of got the whole experience in sort of bite sized form (ie it's actually possible to win the game, and to do so in one sitting)
But ADOM will always be my favourite, and up there as one of my favourite games of all time. It's a gem of a game. It manages to cram some realistic elements into it; your stats improve through use, as do your skills and weapon skills, it's got hunger but it's not too irritating. Plus although largely random it's got a fixed overworld and certain other fixed areas that are part of quests, so it's got a bit of a story and a goal to reach for too.
