CarrionCrow: ...
Good to know, thank you. There's an air compressor here, but it's pretty large. Would have to be extremely careful to keep from breaking something using it.

But, since you've very kindly mentioned both the item and the place to get it, I can skip both the vacuum static discharge nightmare and the air compressor breakage issue. =)

EndreWhiteMane: A big compressor is fine as long as you set the pressure to about 20psi and be careful. I've used huge ones, just have to stick your finger or a Q-tip or something in the fan blades while you blow them out.
Eeek! just be careful with the air compressor cleaning, as it can imbed dust and build layers of coral like dust. :/

I tried using those mini vacuums too a long time ago, they’re terrible and take too long. Then again, I used to have to service dozens to hundreds of network nodes. heh!

I use a kabob stick, and a toothbrush, with a powerful vacuum cleaner and can finish up in about ten minutes, making sure not turn on the PC that day before starting, though I still have to be careful about static. Luckily I have an EVGA card (GeForce GTX 450), they can take a lot of abuse. :)

The PC, an ASUS duel core 2.6ghz Pentium is six years old, the video card five years. If I take care of it, I can probably squeeze a few more years out of this system.

moonshineshadow: I have the feeling that these developers wanted to take the player to take breaks... as if I could not decide on my own how long to play...

But something different: *welcome hugs for Crow and Endre*
I also get many visits of the gogbear today. I hope this will get better soon, it is annoying of almost every second time trying to open something it shows me the gogbear.
Hi Moon! Still on Anvil then? ;)
* big hug *

Yep. I have to say Anvil could be a quite good game if the devs had remembered to put in a rest function. But since they did not and I want to shout at them how stupid they whenever I have to take a break again just to regenerate :D

Be gentle with the air and a brush and the 'embedded dirt thing' isn't bad.
Been using the air for 25 years now and haven't killed one yet. :-)

CarrionCrow: Well, mine's at 814 gigs, but I've got more stuff piled up than you do. Estimate yours at maybe 5 to 6 hundred?
Hard to tell without checking it all by hand.

Just found one through their website for ten dollars. A lot of people are complaining back and forth about whether it's great for filling tires, but there's one outside for such things. Guess I know what I'll be buying soon.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: If it's one of those dinky ones for cars it won't do much.
I'll look up the one I have and see how pricey it's gotten.

Like this $50.00 with coupon.
I bought mine years ago so it's gone up a bit.
Once you have it you'll use it way more often so to me it's worth the money.
Okay, cool, thank you for passing me the info. =) Have it bookmarked, will have one mailed here when I have the cash to do so.

You will be astounded how much crap comes out of the power supply. ;)
Assuming it's a desktop machine.

You obviously have a skillful hand, eye, brain coordination...

Been using my system (of cleaning) about 25 years as well successfully, with patience. ;)

I use the time to regenerate myself so it's not too bad. :-)

Yeah, with care they can last a long time. My beast is on it's 7th year also. ;)
I did it for a living so the brush method would have taken me a very long time.
10-20 machines a day. :-)

Hey there. =)

Is there any way to acquire flesh magic? Was looking at the manual yesterday, the two heal spells in the game are in that category.

Yeah, the forum is pretty unstable right now. Wishing that GOG could keep unbroken things that way while they do whatever they need to do.

Soccorro: Already!? Oh well, good night :)

sxnc: Haha welp it's good morning now! I hope everyone is doing okay, I feel like this weekend's been wasted on me. Oh well, time to brace myself for another week!
Can't complain here since my internet's working again.

How are you doing today?

I have one healing spell at the moment but there are two problems. The healing is decided my some dice system it seems (like a lot of stuff in the game), so you often end up with not getting a lot of healing, meaning reloading and trying again. And the second problem is that it takes ages to regenerate mana...

For me it is a bit of a problem, since when I like a game I want to really play it in a 1-3h session without forced breaks :D

Wonderful. And the only way to increase the heal power is to up your ability with that type of magic in general.
Sounds like waiting around will be a nice little pacebreaker when I play it.

How was your night?
Good evening. =)

Pretty frigging dull, actually. I hardly ever watch television, so being stuck doing that all night since I couldn't sleep and my net was out wasn't exactly fun.

How's your day been?
Wise fwom your gwave!

We'ze back and ready for fightin'!

I see you guys have missed me, like the pox. So I'm here once more to spread some Nurgle love around.

A discussion on cleaning dust out of your machine?

I normally used the industrial compressors in the machine shop of the factory building. And since they could not be graduated for a given air pressure. I just used the old and trusty method of firing some air on my hand and judging the adequate distance.

I also had a tendency to let the fans spin, because... wheeee!

I still remember some of them. There was one that when opened, showed its interior surface covered by a thin layer of what at first look seemed like pond scum. A quick whiff later and as the intense smell of nicotine assaulted my nose, I confirmed that it was in fact cigar ash.
Has everyone gotten their nominations in for this?

It's a wonderful way to tell your fellow goggers how much you appreciate them~!
