CarrionCrow: If you get bored,
this'll cover the basics. =)
In the end, it's another game where I'm going to pretend there was never a sequel.
EndreWhiteMane: That's too bad, sounds like they really screwed that one up.
Yes they did. I could've written a better, more coherent, more satisfying story for that setting with both hands tied behind my back, half drunk, sleepless, and typing with my nose.
CarrionCrow: Long story short, they screwed up the combat, spread the story into a paper-thin mess rather than picking actual main characters and telling their story, the music was overused to the point of obnoxiousness, and the ending is a pile of shit.
ddickinson: I am sorry to hear that, especially given how exited you were to play the game and how much you enjoyed the first game. I just had a look at the game card and it seems the first page of reviews are not too favourable, so it seems other agree with you about the quality of the sequel.
Yeah...seeing enemies spinning in place because they didn't know what to do brought on immediate Zombie Shooter flashbacks. That's not good.
But on the plus side, it's reminding me that I won't be buying Pillars of Eternity on release day, that's for sure.
Not 100 percent that I would have with their whole shitty greedy 90 dollar version thing, and exclusive pre-order bonuses piss me off as well, but this experience seals the deal for the time being.
