toxicTom: Spent 2 hours playing Train Fever this morning (thanks DD!) with my daughters. The big one (7) liked it very much. She was very fascinated that you zoom in very close and watch the people walking along the street and the horse carts (I'm still in the 1850's) moving about. Fortunately I had looked up how to make some easy money in the beginning, so no sweat. But for playing it with her I might look up a mod or cheat that gives unlimited funds, since she wants to build one railway after another.
The little one (3, almost 4) on the other hand found it incredible boring. She keeps begging me to play something where I kill things.
A while ago I showed F.E.A.R. to my kids. Tbh I wanted to be left alone for a moment and had hoped it would literally scare them off. No luck. Ever since they are whining that I should play this again (little one: "Dad, can you play that game where I'm always startled? Please?!")... Every time enemies would show up they would wince and then laugh happily about it.
When I came to a room where some Alma victim was splattered all over the place, the big one said: "The poor people who have to clean this up.". I gave up.
Kids are strange. The little one can't have it brutal enough and wants me to kill everything, while the big one starts to give me hints how to cope with certain enemies (especially in Skyrim), but (literally!) breaks into tears when I kill some wolf or bear or even when I order an attack on my neighbours in The Settlers.
The rest of the day I was cleaning the place. My wife is not feeling well, so all the work fell to me. Right now I'm preparing dinner. Nothing special since it's already late for the kids.
-laughs- That's funny. Sounds like you've got two video game lovers already. =)
Course, that won't help much for when you're trying to get a personal break...
Sounds like you've got your hands full trying to cover everything. Is your wife getting nailed by another one of the horrendously bad flu-type strains?
EndreWhiteMane: Good day all, hope everyone is well. Back from work and ready to enjoy some sunshine and dog poop scooping today.
On second thought maybe I'll just make a pb&j sandwich and think about the first thought. ;)
Good afternoon. =)
Think I need more caffeine, but doing okay otherwise.
How's your day been going?
