CarrionCrow: Well, when you put it that way...=)

I'll just have to keep on quitting, and if the sleep thing doesn't resolve itself in a few days, I'll set up a doctor's appointment. Don't want people worrying.

But anyway. Don't want to put the thread to sleep talking about my boring shit. What's everyone else up to?

GhostwriterDoF: Don't worry too much about the nicotine addiction, it is rather mild as addictions go, after 7 days your body can do without any, you'll just have to find something to do with your hands (to keep busy) as the act of smoking is the most addicting part (purely psychological).

Well, I'm working on my books, writing the actual pages and pushing myself to get a full rough draft of the first two books in the series, as soon as possible. It was much easier working on all the details and developing all the characters and worlds... (there is multiple worlds!)

Still, I'm feeling motivated with over a full decade of development work already done, and just want to get this project finished now, so I can start working on other stories that I have been fiddling with.

Other than that, it's a beautiful day! I might even venture out of my cave to hunt down some sub sandwiches. :)
If it turns out to be an overblown decade and a half affectation, I am going to be pissed at myself. -laughs-

Wow...way to go regarding the book work. Over ten years and still pushing towards the finish. Kudos to you for your motivation.

Hmm, sounds like a plan. Might steal your idea and grab one while I'm running errands later. =)

ddickinson: I'm up to nothing much, just work at the moment. I have been trying to look for a scrap of paper on and off all afternoon. My dad "put it somewhere safe", where that is we have no idea. :-)
Have you checked all the pockets of his trousers and shirts since he last had it? ;)

ddickinson: Well you just make sure you look after yourself. Don't make me send Endre over in his sexy nurses uniform to look after you. :-)

But another hour then I am off work until Monday morning. My partner is still not completely better yet, so we will probably just spend the rest of the weekend relaxing at home.
He is going to feel all kinds of uncomfortable in that scenario, just from the pantyhose alone...

Don't you love when that happens? My relatives do the same thing. They stash something, then forget where they stashed it and have to tear everything apart searching.

Hopefully you'll be able to locate it without having to dismantle the entire house in the process.

Downtime is good. Sorry to hear that she's still feeling less than 100 percent, that must have been one hell of a bad strain she was exposed to.
But at the same time, I'm willing to bet she feels a lot better with you being there for her. =)
Little blob requires cuddling. Owl-sama is here? I liked Grimrock so far, quite the game that I like and the graphics are beautiful although is a little hard.
Spent 2 hours playing Train Fever this morning (thanks DD!) with my daughters. The big one (7) liked it very much. She was very fascinated that you zoom in very close and watch the people walking along the street and the horse carts (I'm still in the 1850's) moving about. Fortunately I had looked up how to make some easy money in the beginning, so no sweat. But for playing it with her I might look up a mod or cheat that gives unlimited funds, since she wants to build one railway after another.
The little one (3, almost 4) on the other hand found it incredible boring. She keeps begging me to play something where I kill things.

A while ago I showed F.E.A.R. to my kids. Tbh I wanted to be left alone for a moment and had hoped it would literally scare them off. No luck. Ever since they are whining that I should play this again (little one: "Dad, can you play that game where I'm always startled? Please?!")... Every time enemies would show up they would wince and then laugh happily about it.
When I came to a room where some Alma victim was splattered all over the place, the big one said: "The poor people who have to clean this up.". I gave up.

Kids are strange. The little one can't have it brutal enough and wants me to kill everything, while the big one starts to give me hints how to cope with certain enemies (especially in Skyrim), but (literally!) breaks into tears when I kill some wolf or bear or even when I order an attack on my neighbours in The Settlers.

The rest of the day I was cleaning the place. My wife is not feeling well, so all the work fell to me. Right now I'm preparing dinner. Nothing special since it's already late for the kids.

I love humans.... almost as much as I love history. :)

Be hugged!

I also found that LoG on medium get tough really quickly. Won't even try it on Hard.
I don't know about your tastes, but IAmSinistar had found source ports of the Greatgreatgranddad of all dungeon crawlers, Dungeon Master. Available here.
Haven't played DM for quite some time. After I finish some of my games,I'll check it out, backlog's quite full.

Good day all, hope everyone is well. Back from work and ready to enjoy some sunshine and dog poop scooping today.
On second thought maybe I'll just make a pb&j sandwich and think about the first thought. ;)

-laughs- That's funny. Sounds like you've got two video game lovers already. =)

Course, that won't help much for when you're trying to get a personal break...

Sounds like you've got your hands full trying to cover everything. Is your wife getting nailed by another one of the horrendously bad flu-type strains?

Good afternoon. =)

Think I need more caffeine, but doing okay otherwise.

How's your day been going?

Pretty good so far, a bit challenging staying alert at work but no real problem.
Gonna have some coffee myself then decide what fun to have this afternoon.

Right...potential crap scooping.
Let no one ever say you don't know how to have a good time. -laughs-

Lack of sleep overall causing the problem, or are the meds making you feel half asleep?

I figure the sun, and the poop, will be there tomorrow if I 'accidentally' do something else today. :-)

The meds are still hitting pretty hard but that's OK, I feel less anxious.

Regarding the kids: Yeah, they're infected. :-) The little one is too young to really play (though she tried Race the Sun). The big one - she loves to play The Incredible Machine, although she has some difficulty with the lasers and other electrical stuff.

My wife already had been sick for two weeks in February. I hope it's not again something serious.

Accidentally? How could you resist the urge to enjoy the beginning of spring with cleaning shit off a lawn? -laughs-

Don't blame you there. One of the few upshots of living in the dust - acre after acre of ground that's useless for anything but animals pissing and shitting on it.
Worst case scenario, they kill some sticker weeds off. No great loss.

Any projection from the doctor on how long it'll take for your body to get used to the new meds, so you can have calmed nerves without perpetual naptime?

They'll both get better at playing as they get older, I'm sure. 7 and almost 4 are still really young, after all.

Fingers crossed that your wife isn't down for weeks again. Frigging nasty flu strains this year...
