toxicTom: In between :-) 12:30 PM right now. Just had lunch.
Well I hope you and your family are doing well and that you have a nice day at work?

avatar
adaliabooks: Yeah, I try and read everything when I can, but there have been a couple of times where I haven't been able to get on through the day and by the time I check the thread again there are 20 new pages... so I tend to just leave it and assume people will me if I missed anything too.

I suppose I am feeling pretty happy at the moment. Things are generally looking up for us at the moment, which is nice and it always makes me smile to see all the gifting going on when there is a big sale. Reminds me that not all people are awful.
Plus I've received some very nice and generous gifts which makes me happy to :)
Has business started to pick up for you now the weather is improving? I hope you have a very busy summer, but maybe not too busy, as you need some time to enjoy the sun with your partner.

Yeah, we're out every weekend at the moment, and probably till the end of the Summer. I'd rather be very busy, my partner doesn't like the heat (it's her Scottish heritage) so we tend not to spend time outside when it's too hot anyway.

We had a really busy weekend at the end of February at a festival and we've just started a new regular evening pitch which is looking promising. Looking for some more spots to go to now :)

I will keep my fingers crossed that you do have a great summer, making lots of pennies to save away and buy lots of toys with. :-)

And yet again, now I want some pizza. :-)

Mwahaha, my evil plan works again! ;)

I'm going to have to find a way to make Pizza by Post work... there's got to be something in that :D

Edit: And thank you :)

Hey Agent *waves*

There's a reason for that... when we're out trading on the markets we have to be there and open at about 9am, it's very rare we get any customers until 11am or 12pm so I imagine it's not very profitable for pizza places to open early just to cater for us pizza nuts...

I'm actually a bit surprised that there aren't any places open in the middle of the night where I live. A college town, with 10,000 stoned kids... Seems like night pizza would make great money... They usually close at 9pm though :-\
Hi all! Hope everyone's well and enjoying their day. The sun's beautiful here and the only less than delightful thing is a couple of old bags yakking non stop in front of my house. They come out when the sun starts to shine and 'graze' like a couple of Friesians, which in itself isn't a problem. Its the volume of their chatter - it penetrates and gets inside your skull like a pair of trapped bluebottles. I've got a sniper rifle around here somewhere....

moonshineshadow: *ponders a bit confused why there are so many new vikings in the last few days until realizing* Stilton it is you again, you need to find a way to stop your split personas and decide on one that gets to represent you please ;-)
Sorry for the confusion, Moon - those horns where what put me off the last one - nice drawing, but those horns..... This one is more me, I think, although that could change a couple of dozen times yet ;-)

ddickinson: Well I hope you and your family are doing well and that you have a nice day at work?
Tbh things are not that good atm. I stayed home yesterday (sudden sickness - call me retchin' Tom). My boss was mad like hell since we had server problems with once of hour customers. He tried to take care of it, but ultimately it would have been my responsibility and he had to postpone important stuff to look into it. On the bright side - while I usually can't cope with people screaming at me on the phone, yesterday I just didn't care and let it flow over me while I was fighting another wave of barfing urge.

I trudged into office today but I don't feel that well and work is going very slowly. But the boss was astonished I made my way here at all and so he got a lot more peaceful and friendly.

On top of that my wife had staff meeting yesterday. She works in kindergarten and her contract is limited to August this year. While it had seemed that she would get her renewal for the last months, yesterday it turned out that it very probably won't happen. My wife had been at home for 7 years (when she was with our first child - complications) before she started to work again last September. It's not just about the money. She was withering away, getting depressive and putting on a lot of weight. Now she's working - with a lot of expected preparations to be done off-hours - and doing advanced training in parallel with exams and homework coming up - so there's not even time to write applications.
Good morning!

Well that is odd, we do really well on an evening and I would have thought a pizza place would stay open till at least 10 or 11pm...

Hey Stilton, weather is lovely up here for a change too. Long may it last!

Sorry you've not been feeling great.

And that's awful about your wife, I've worked on temporary contracts before and the wondering if your going to be kept on or renewed at the end is dreadful. And it can be very difficult to find other work if you know your not going to be. I hope she's able to find something.

There you go, complaining that I change my avatar too often and then wanting me to change it back! I got bored with the first one because he looked like an idiot, the second one looked annoyed to have those two huge things growing out of his head, and now I find one I like and you'd prefer me to change it back.... I mean, what is a Viking to do? Maybe I should keep changing it every few days until everyone's happy....

*big hug* I never thought the first one looked like an idiot. But if you feel that way ok... I take back that you should change the current one back of you promise not to go on changing your avatar all the time. Deal? :D

Hmmm.... I'm not sure.... What if I get bored with this one? I like a bit of variety in my life, you know. That's why I collect games. Too much of one thing leads to restlessness, at least for me ;-)
