adaliabooks: BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!

*cough*

Ahem. Sorry, don't know what came over me...

Ragnarblackmane: I detect...
Nice, I didn't know that :)
There were actually quite a few women involved with brining about Doctor Who, just goes to show there have been female geeks for decades :)

Also, since the topic has come up I have to have a little brag as Peter Capaldi is my (distant) cousin... What? Don't look at me like that... it's my claim to fame... :P

It's not heresy... I just can't help shouting that when Khorne is brought up in conversation :)

Ixamyakxim: Should I go make a post in the trading thread?

"Want: 103 Copies of AoW 3. No, I won't accept fewer than that, so don't even offer"
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Might work. ;)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Not really surprised by that one. I think it's the most expensive game in the whole promo, and it's round 3, and there's DLC for it so you can't satisfy that completion urge with one purchase, AND there's the whole rep it got as being one of the harbingers to regional pricing.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Yeah, be nice if people would actually review the games and not the politics. :/

I got this one Stilton.
That's a good choice, now you need the DLC...

CarrionCrow: I stopped caring about the political stuff. There's exactly jack shit I can do on that one, and I have no desire to let the notion that I've got 3 Age of Wonders games but not the 4th bug the crap out of me for years to come.
I don't either. It just pisses me off to see a game get a low rating for non game related stuff.

I meant I grabbed a copy of A Story About My Uncle for Moon so we didn't both do it.

Edit: GOG's 'post consolidation' can be a pain in the arse.

Okay, got you ;-)

Me too. Like people reviewing a game they haven't played or they're looking forward to the release of.
Well...guess it'll be another 10 months, and then Insomnia will be back once this is done.

Can't see it going until much further than Monday morning at this rate.

That would make the full 7 day cycle... heh!

Well, I've resisted all temptations of this sale, and made two "controlled" impulse buys, so I'm happy.

Plus burgers are on the road, on their way home...

And, I've still got some budget left for anything that might pop up for the rest of the month! :D

Roughly 13 hours, 23 minutes, and it'll be at the full one week mark. And 13 items left to go.

It seems to have gone more quickly this time. Its certainly felt easier. Maybe because my collection has grown somewhat and there's less I want.

We've got two items side by side so each would have to Keane for two hours to make it a week, but I think that's pretty possible...

It definitely feels that way the larger the stockpile gets, I think.

I still have a ton of shit to grab, but those times are going to be fewer and farther between, the closer I get to having the list cleared.

Gutted this sale, but I did it all in the beginning because I knew rounds two and three would drag.

True. It'll depend on the quantities.

If they go heavy on the two Anomaly items or Neverending Nightmares for some psychotic reason, it could definitely take hours, and hours, and hours.

That feels like the way its going to have to be from here on out - knowing exactly what to get and getting it early on. Any extras can come when they appear, but the base games should be remembered and grabbed in round one.

It clears out the heavy waiting, to be sure.

I started getting punchy by the time round one was over, definitely. But I also hadn't slept for about a day and a half when I got blindsided with the info that Insomnia was about an hour away from happening.

This is one of those aspects where I absolutely agree with you, regarding putting everything out there.
I got lucky because I had a bit of coin saved at the time. But I wasn't really budgeting, or making a plan, aside from clearing my list and making sure I didn't overdraw anything.

Not exactly refined, to say the least.

Knowing what's going to go up and having it there would be a huge change. You actually could evaluate, budget, pick and choose and fine tune.
