CarrionCrow: I was going to mention this earlier, but I kinda fell over. Sorry they didn't put out Original Sin, but on the bright side? You didn't sleep through them putting it out so you'd want to punch your monitor in half. =)
I can't say I'm surprised it didn't show up.. half the thread seemed to be waiting for it, so presumably the demand is high enough to still warrant the high price.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: All fueled up? Just need a little time in the shop and you'll be good. :-)
avatar
CarrionCrow: I just ate a very large burger, so I'm good to go on fuel.
Was going to do Mexican, but I don't want to burn out on the best food in this town by eating it too often.

No problem, I'm over that and on to new obsessions. :-)

moonshineshadow: *good night hugs and waves* I need some sleep, important stuff tomorrow at work, so see you all later
Night Moon, sleep well.

Stilton: It sounds like you've had a good day/evening.

I feel less concerned with getting all I want than with relaxing more and making sure I sleep. Insomnias can be painful if you're determined to get everything you want and more. I'm finally finding some wisdom in this thick head of mine.

Hey Carrion. Are those batteries recharged?
avatar
CarrionCrow: Probably as much as they can be without sleep.

But, on the bright side, it turns out I have more energy than I thought. Got to lug a broken water jug around so I didn't make a flooded mess out of the grocery store aisle, and managed to chase down a shopping cart that the wind was trying to hurl into someone's car.

If that sounds lame on a physical ability level? That's because it is. -laughs- But doing that with no sleep and general brain burn? Not bad.

How're things going on your end? Beginning to dig your way through round two?
Sounds like you've been behaving like Spiderman. I'm not as eager this Insomnia, so what I miss I miss, they'll come around again. I've set myself a maximum on price/quantity and a minimum on sleep, so its different than before. I'm hankering for a coffee, though, and I've never been one to ignore a hanker. Where would mankind be without coffee and beer, although not in the same glass...

Goodnight, sleep well when you get there, and have a good day tomorrow. =)

moonshineshadow: And while I loved the tracker threads it is somehow this time a bit too much and too fast for me.
I think quite a few of us feel the same way (at least I do)... Maybe we are just accustomed to the pace of this lovely thread?

Oh, and good night! *hug*

I figured that if they were going to do it, they'd do it as a closer, to keep people glued to their screens.

I was totally geared up every time a game on the newer side switched (unless I had dozed off at the moment) because I knew that if they put that up, it'd be gone in seconds.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, considering how some other less sought after games flew out I was ready every change over just in case...

I think you've hit the nail on the thread there. The other place got really manic and as soon as I came back here I immediately relaxed. Amazing and pleasing that we know each other that well now.

You're right, of course. Unless something gets pulled out of the blue (like Scratches, which got pulled with no warning AT ALL), it'll all still be here and the prices keep dropping til they hit rock bottom.

It's all a game ultimately, and in a stroke of marketing brilliance it even manages to tap into the childhood attempts to stay awake all night, just to rebel against when you're "supposed" to go to sleep.

Will agree with you there. Coffee's fine, but I can't think of how putting it with beer would make it anything but foul.

It was interesting to see much older, seemingly more obscure games like Kyrandia go flying, and things like Grimrock 2 were gone in maybe two minutes?
Really glad I got my hands on Pier Solar. You have to respect people who make a game for a system that's been dead for years on end. -laughs-

I think that's why it works, GoG has managed to really make buying games a game... the tracker thread is (as someone mentioned over there) like a load of sports fans watching a big game..
The whole concept is ridiculous, but we buy into it because it's fun, and it's nice to see everyone come together and talk about and curse over missing things, wish for other things to pop up...

I'll probably grab Grimrock 2 or Wasteland 2 if it gets put right in front of my face, not a biggie if I miss them though.

Edit: Did grab Battle Isle after almost buying it 2000 times before this. :-)

It's fun seeing what sells quickly. Grimrock 1 and 2 isn't too surprising, and neither were the Lucasart games but some of the old RPGs flew out, and some of the more unusual indie titles seems to as well.

You're a good calming influence, Endre. I'm going to take things more calmly. It feels better.
