EBToriginal: Yeah, it's just surprising how hard it is to find someone willing to leave bruises.
j0ekerr: Stop talking about craving pain, you're making me hungry.
CarrionCrow: I'll have to check those out when I'm more awake. Kinda fried at the moment. Thank you for passing them along, though. =)
-laughs- I remember that...one of those times where it kinda started to feel like Jerry Lawler wasn't kidding, and that he seriously wanted to beat Kaufman half to death.
j0ekerr: I used to really enjoy wrestling when I was a lil kid, the characters, the comedy, the drama, the acting. Then I kinda outgrew it and I couldn't get into it anymore.
I tried to watch it again many times after that, as a "leave your brain at the porch" kind of thing, but even turning off all brain activity couldn't make it enjoyable, it just seemed so dull compared to the wrestlers I grew up with.
This however, seems like a return to the good ol' glory days of overacting and excessive CHEESE with a side of nonsensical humour, that made me laugh so hard as a child.
Right. It always helps when the wrestling angle is actually well written, and with a comedian like Stewart you're pretty much guaranteed to get a hell of a lot better grade of material than anything the WWE is putting out these days typically.
And yeah, it sounds like silly fun, like I mentioned earlier. That's a very good thing.
