CarrionCrow: They actually have Jon Stewart booked to show up?

Would've figured he'd be busy doing the Daily Show since it's countdown to retirement for him now.
avatar
tinyE: They've been exchanging insults for a few weeks. Last week on the Daily Seth showed up and challenged him. Good stuff. :P
Over paid acting, that's all it is....

Anyone follow the 49ERS,as one of our players has a contract with them?

adaliabooks: Right, I'm calling it a night, got to be up early(ish) tomorrow and do some work.

No doubt I will miss everything I want.

See you all tomorrow :D

CarrionCrow: What are you looking for most of all?
Mainly Original Sin, Banner Saga or Trails in the Sky. Back now(ish) or at least I just woke up and had to check if I missed anything... XD
Thankfully there doesn't seem to be anything that I wanted since I went to sleep.
We've had Wasteland 2, Grimrock 2 and Age of Wonders 3 so I'm hopeful Original Sin might make a showing, preferably with a nice high discount.

tinyE: Evidently Jon is a huge wrestling fan and that's how this got started. Seth took a quick jab at the Daily during one of his "wrestler shouting matches" and probably thought nothing of it. Jon saw it and the next day posted a reply online and they have been going at it ever since, tongue firmly planted in cheek by both men.

CarrionCrow: -laughs- That kicks ass. People having silly fun, everyone knows it's just silly fun, and that's okay.
If you're curious, because these bits have had me cracking up:

Seth Rollins crashes the Daily Show - last week

followed by:
Jon Stewart on tonight's Monday Night Raw

I wasn't up to watching all of Raw tonight, but I kept my eyes out for this snippet afterward and was greatly pleased by it. Also, it's been reminding me of this, which is still a(n in)famous moment in entertainment, wrestling or otherwise.

I'll have to check those out when I'm more awake. Kinda fried at the moment. Thank you for passing them along, though. =)

-laughs- I remember that...one of those times where it kinda started to feel like Jerry Lawler wasn't kidding, and that he seriously wanted to beat Kaufman half to death.

Ixamyakxim: *sigh* Oh well. Hopefully a friend at least had a brief moment of respite with a bit of irreverence.

EBToriginal: Yeah, it's just surprising how hard it is to find someone willing to leave bruises.
Stop talking about craving pain, you're making me hungry.

I used to really enjoy wrestling when I was a lil kid, the characters, the comedy, the drama, the acting. Then I kinda outgrew it and I couldn't get into it anymore.

I tried to watch it again many times after that, as a "leave your brain at the porch" kind of thing, but even turning off all brain activity couldn't make it enjoyable, it just seemed so dull compared to the wrestlers I grew up with.

This however, seems like a return to the good ol' glory days of overacting and excessive CHEESE with a side of nonsensical humour, that made me laugh so hard as a child.

Right. It always helps when the wrestling angle is actually well written, and with a comedian like Stewart you're pretty much guaranteed to get a hell of a lot better grade of material than anything the WWE is putting out these days typically.

And yeah, it sounds like silly fun, like I mentioned earlier. That's a very good thing.
*good morning hugs and waves*
I am wondering where dd and our owl are.

They might be actively staying away, knowing that if they come, they won't be able to leave.

Good morning Moon

Good morning. =)

Aside from what Adalia mentioned, no clue regarding either of them. Hopefully you and they are all doing well.
