pfff...played a tabletop roleplaying game with my buddies up till the early hours of the morning, and now I'm trying to wake up with the toccata of Schnittke's first concerto grosso and a big cup of strong tea.

and then I have to write a report about the lab session we had in school...-_-

Hey everyone else! How are you all doing?

Don't tell me about the weather...if you look at Belgium, it lies about as far north as the bottom of Canada.

We've had snow perhaps twice this winter? and it was only a thin layer of wet stuff that was gone by the evening. The rest of the time it was just autumn like temperatures.

hehe, yes. I'm a sucker for obscure stuff, especially where music and games are concerned. We ussually play an rpg called fading suns, which has a distopian-low-tech-level-sci-fi-Dune-like setting, and very nice combat (a lot more freedom then just dishing out powers as in D&D).

Yesterday though, we started a campaign in an rpg called "a song of ice and fire" (guess what the setting is ;) ). I ussualy dungeon master only two players, with the occasional third. The players built their characters arround an exiled prince from the house of tyrell, specialized in archery, and some guy with a slightly conan like background (got his village destroyed, adopted by travelling knights and mastered the swordfighting arts).

And it was great fun indeed; linking up with peasants to form a revolution in a tiny city with a vile baron who was employing bandits, a bit north of the twins (and getting the hell out of there when the Walder guy found out XD). etc...

nothing like playing out your own unpredictable movie...

I spent the better part of the night with a student who wanted to kill herself.

If I have to say one more time - NO I'm not her psychologist, NO, I'm not her relative, YES, I'm the person she called in the middle of the night...

And yes, the fucking police questioned me for 5 hours... just to make sure I didn't encourage her...

I need a good name for a Sith Lord, and I always use names from fiction, be it movies or books.

Right now I'm teetering between Horace Pinker from "Shocker" and Wilbur Whateley from "Dunwich Horror".

A few dozen people saying they wanted to die later, and I either wanted to kill myself to get away from them, or kill them to shut them up.

So much easier once I finally stopped trying to be people's amateur therapist.

Every goddamn time, it was all about "What is there to live for? What's the point?" and the answer to that is, "Your guess is as good as mine. I can't fucking save you, and odds are you don't want to die so much as you want someone to give a shit in a world where most people don't.
