That really sounds like a stupid concept. Why should one get penalized for customizing the main character. I wonder what the devs where thinking when implementing something like this.

Not sure, but I'm definitely not a fan since there's no way to reallocate the points I put into their abilities.

It's going to make what was already becoming a bit of a slog even more so.

Kinda feels like all the games I'm playing at the moment are like that, though. They're all right. Not great, not awful, just middle of the road and lots of it.

A question - did you decide whether or not to get Cultures 1 and 2 yet?

Yeah I can understand that. Sometimes it happens that all the games you are currently playing are just mediocre up until the moment where you reaach a point where you really need a good game again to keep the motivation high to play even the mediocre games. At least that is how it normally is for me. If I can't find a game I am really enthusiastic about at that moment I normally take a break from playing games.

And no I have not yet decided about Cultures. On one hand they look nice, but I do not really need them right now :D

Between the mediocre, the bad, the really bad, the really, really please shoot me bad, and the stifling the urge to scream because I keep dying, I could really go for something that's actually good.

Also, that's funny. Pretty sure that people like ourselves with a few hundred games passed the need stage quite a while back. ;)

you are right :D But I wanted to reduce my backlog this year and so far I only managed to finish one game. Somehow this is not working out ;-)

-laughs- Yeah, it's tricky. I cleared a few this month but my brain keeps reminding me that even clearing 8 games only adds up to a 1 percent backlog reduction.

Yeah thinking of the sum of games that are still there to be played never works out :D
But I think I'll probably get the Culture games even if they probably end up with the other large pile of games that should be played sometime, it will at least make me happy to buy them ;-)

There you go. Extra happiness is good, even if you have to use game purchases to get some of it. =)

Thinking I'll bite the bullet and grab the ones I've been going back and forth on, then pre-order Hotline Miami 2.
