ddickinson: So no need to invade Germany (even though you are in Switzerland at the moment) to take you hostage and keep you here with us? That's great news.

*Looks a little disappointed and slowly hides weapons and battle maps for the invasion.*
*Then thinks to myself, "what am I going to do with all these tanks now?"* :-)
No need for that. But it might have been fun :D

But I was going to get a bunch of German maidens from Oktoberfest for Endre. I thought he might like some pretty German women. Oh well, I guess he will have to make do with his American cheerleaders. :-)
Damn it...there are a few items from my list on sale, but two of them are items I'm not exactly calling high priority, and the other three are middle of the road at best.

And since my list is as long as my arm, even 60 percent off still feels like I'm paying more than I should.

Maybe you should save the games ready for the next big sale (Summer sale, Insomnia), you could probably get a bigger discounts. If they are not games high on your list, why waste more money than you have to. The money you save could buy more horrible games to torture yourself with. :-)

-laughs- I'm not seeking out bad games. I just have my list, and I want it cleared.

But at the same time, I don't want to blow money that I might end up wanting to have available for Pillars of Eternity.

Not that I'm exactly thrilled about dropping 45 dollars on a single game by any means, but I need to support someone who makes good RPG's.

Already have a plan for the next big sale. Figuring that will be Summer, and by that point I'll have enough coin saved to wipe 70 items off my list, even if they drop no further than the straight 50 percent off.

I'm not even sure there are 70 games let on here for me that I would be interested in. I think in total I would be interested in about 300 maximum, and that includes stuff that I am only interested in a little, like Fahrenheit.

You're lucky.

Last time I counted, I think there were roughly 70 that are normally 6 dollars or less on my list. Need to clear out the cheaper stuff so I can focus on what expensive items I want first.

Figuring right now that would be Divinity Original Sin, Legend of Grimrock 2, Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity and Pier Solar.
I am thinking of adding the Cultures games to my strategy games selection. Anyone here played them and can tell me an opinion about them?

It could be that part of my mindset is that I have limited times for games and a nice sizes backlog. So I tend to overlook a lot of games, only really buying games I remember playing and that I enjoyed. Maybe once I get my backlog beaten then I will look more closely at over games, but most at the moment do not really appeal to me enough.

Haven't played them, but they're two of the decent looking items for the sale. Will probably end up picking them up along with Port Royale, since I somehow ended up with Port Royale 2 and don't like broken series.

Nothing wrong with that.

You have a busy life, and you're a hell of a lot more sensible than I am, so it's easy to see why you're content with what you've got. =)

I have not played them sadly, so I can't comment. But they do have some good reviews and look quite nice.

yep that is what I am thinking. They look quite nice, but on the other hand my backlog :D That is why I am asking for opinions to make up my mind ;-)

My problem is that I work long hours, so when I have free time I like to spend it with my partner, or reading a book while she is watching TV. I usually play games while she is asleep and I'm still awake. I only need a few hours sleep (about 4-5) so it helps me pass the time while I am by myself. But usually I end up just reading. But the last few weeks I have been trying to play the games I own, and so far I have finished a few, which is a good record for me over the last year or so. I am currently playing Driftmoon, recommended to me by Moon. And so far it's a very nice game, not too complicated and with some silly fun. It's been a while since I last played an RPG.
Watching a video of people making fun of Final Fantasy 13 and groaning.

That game sucked so much...

The dreaded backlog. I wonder how many people resist buying more games due to the backlog. I know it's one of the biggest decision makers for me. I have more than enough to play, so until I have played at least half of my shelf (which is about 100 games), I will only be getting games I really want.
