CarrionCrow: I watched a Michael Bay movie yesterday and it was actually really good.

ddickinson: And here's me thinking you were talking about this Michael Bay movie called The Rock. :-)

ddickinson: I used to have a nice Windows gaming PC, but it died a while ago. So I have just been using boot camp and it's been fine. My computer and laptop are not the newest, so I can't play the more modern games, but they were free and they do quite well for my older games. :-)

Out of curiosity, do you have OS X Yosemite on your Mac?
I like the Rock, I like Bad Boys 1, and I like Pain and Gain. Those are the Michael Bay movies I'd recommend to someone.

And the place is all the better now you are here to join the silliness. *hello hug* :-)

CarrionCrow: I have to take a moment and admit something here...

I watched a Michael Bay movie yesterday and it was actually really good.

AgentBirdnest: Nothing wrong with that. Personally, I don't understand all the hate for him. I think it is just trendy to hate him.
I didn't enjoy Pearl Harbor or Transformers, but The Rock and Armageddon are some of my favorite movies.

Say what you will about his movies, but there is no denying that he is an incredibly passionate and dedicated director. He doesn't do things half-assed. I appreciate that about him.

avatar
ddickinson: That's great news. Hmmm, did Owl leave any ribs for me to crack? *rib cracking hug* :-)

AgentBirdnest: Dammit! They didn't prepare me for this kind of torture!! **Extremely weak hug**

LaPtiteBete: Hummmm... Indeed. :-| You need a little more training... Luckilly you have found us !! :-D and our crazy huggerss team !!

LaPtiteBete: Fine... :-) will you let us know when you get your results ?...

AgentBirdnest: If you ask nicely, maybe ;-)
Seriously... There are so many people here worrying about me and wishing me luck... You are all great friends. Of course I'll let you guys know.
I will freely admit that I wasn't exactly packing high hopes for the movie.

I finally watched it because a reviewer I like spoke highly of it, even after eviscerating the Transformer movies.

How is the night treating you?

I have only seen The Rock. I have not seen too many movies, and none really in the last 10 years or so. I tend to have my head in a book while people around me are watching moves or T.V.
Stay still D,I'll tackle hug you.

I have stayed at 10.7. I'm locked out of some newer games. Hammerwatch, Luftrausers, Grim Fandango, new Witcher 1 installer, new Papers Please installer (kept my old one thankfully) and quite a few more, with the list growing. Yet I'll save these games for the Windows system. I played around with 10.8 on a friend's computer and didn't like how it was trying to act like a mobile device (I'm sure everything could be changed) and haven't bothered investigating anything past that.

What are your thoughts on the newer systems? I don't use a smartphone and just want my computer to act like it does on 10.6 or 10.7! :)

Yeah, I don't watch a great deal of it either.

I have a huge list on Netflix, but it's almost all older things that I never got a chance to watch start to finish when I was younger.

ddickinson: I'm a nerd and use a Mac. I press ⌥⌘T to show a nice little box of special characters, which are the unicode characters. Then I just click on one and it adds it to the text. But it seems not all are recognised on the GOG forum.

LaPtiteBete: What the heck is that... Õ__Ô ... crap. I can't do this on windows then ?...
You don't get quite as good a selection as Mac users seem to get, but if you go to start menu and windows and type character map in the search bar you can get some of them, mostly things like various money symbols and trademark or copyright symbols but you can get some interesting ones...

Seems like there are some people here who are not that interested in movies, which brings me to a question. What was the last film you went to a cinema to see it? Mine was the third part of Lord of the Rings.

Last time I went was 8 or 9 years ago.

It was the time I got to watch Sin City with the theater all to myself.

Best theater experience ever. =)
