CarrionCrow: It's a visual novel with RPG crap mashed into it.
Not a game I'd recommend at all...But it's on the pile, so it needs to be cleared.
I have it on my list, but haven't had a chance to yet. What do you think of it?
I'm not always too keen on describing what I think of a game, especially when others could love it. But here goes:
For me personally, it's really boring. I just finished it now and it took me about 4 hours or so to finish, and if I took out all the walking and puzzle solving, then I could paste all the story element parts into about 5-10 minutes. There is hardly any story, just a few sentences here and there and a bit larger section at the end, the puzzles are so dull and repetitive and there is little to go on as to what to do on each puzzle (it's always put sphere here, put sphere there, but there are other tricks you need to do). It's easy to mess up some puzzles, which can cause a lot of backtracking. The story really isn't anything special, and judging by some of the comments on the credits, the developer designed the game to be "art" first and a game second. The visuals are lovely, especially for an indie game, but for me personally, it was just too dull. I wanted to stop it after an hour, but I kept going hoping it would get better. It didn't, it just got more complicated and repetitive. I picked it up as part of a DRM Free bundle, so it's not too bad. But I would definitely recommend you wait for a very good discount before you get it on GOG.
But again, we all have different tastes, and you could love the game.
