FoxySage: Doing well enough. Trying to find a gift for my grandfather. Was considering Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, though now i'm not too sure since i've been told he is mostly playing puzzle games currently instead of 4x strategy games.
What kind of puzzle games has he been playing?
hummer010: My work is a little odd in this respect. The office is officially closed between Christmas and New Years, but we don't just get it off with pay. It's up to us to make sure we have enough vacation time to take it off.
I like it though. If I wasn't forced to take the time off, I probably wouldn't, and in the end, I really like having the time off.
I think a lot of places no longer give free Christmas vacation, they expect you to use your holiday time for it. Which I can understand, from a business point of view. A bit like Scrooge feeling mis-used paying Bob Cratchit a days wage with no days work.
I work on a farm, so sadly no time off for me. The crops still need maintaining and the animals still need looking after. But I don't mind, at least I get most of Christmas Day to relax.
