budejovice: woo-hoo 3 star club! ;)

CarrionCrow: Maybe by the time I hit 4 stars, I can be a member of the "my wishlist isn't large enough to choke an elephant" club. =)

hummer010: The weather man kind of missed three mark today. Forecast called for 5cm of snow today - we got 50cm (~18").
avatar
CarrionCrow: Sounds like they goofed and left out a fairly important zero...

Being a weatherman must be great. So long as you aren't the poor schmuck who gets to stand in the hurricane to do the broadcast, it's coffee, staring at radar displays and guessing.
I've never looked at it like that! You're right, its one job where no one ever expects you to get it right!

The net result of low expectations. They've got enough tech to make NASA weak in the knees, and they still screw up so much that people expect it to be wrong.

I'm out of here for the rest of the weekend soon. How soon? Very soon.

Allow me to leave a quick survey, out of mere curiosity.
-how many threads to you have favorited?
(me: over half the general discussion page is favorites)
-how many favorited threads do you have that haven't been updated since 2013 or before?
(me: 2, both about gamepads for mac, for future research purposes)

That would be 3 (games finished thread, what just updated thread and this thread), and 0.

I assumed I could be an extreme case. I've got those 3! :)

It's tax season - I rarely even check below my favorites unless things are kinda slow.

Crazily busy time for you, I'm assuming?

Stilton: Okay, okay, OKAY!!!! Its Grimrock! Are you satisfied now?!!

I'm sure it'll be great and with each trap and brain twisting puzzle I'll think of you, repeatedly, ad nauseum ;-)

And thanks to everyone else for your point of view, opinions and perspective. The fact that those three all mean the same thing means its late and I'm getting tired, sleepy, dozy.

CarrionCrow: You know...I hate to bring it up right now....but....are you going to buy Grimrock 2 and play through it religiously from start to finish after doing so with 1? =)
It seems likely... But my Spider sense has kicked in - I know Doc Oc isn't around, and the Vulture has had his wings clipped. Which only leaves you and the Green Goblin.... I have a feeling something is going to happen...

11.
None.

Favorites include some of the threads that I started, History is not a Mystery, What is the name of this game thread, List of DRM-free retail games, and ID games.

No offense intended, but I am seriously hoping you're wrong on that one.

You don't need any fresh shit, and neither do I.

A sigh of relief that I wasn't getting a karate chop to the back of the neck while looking around for the Green Goblin. Odd how an unexpected arrival can feel like that. And yes, I've got more games than I know what to do with - and still planning to buy others, of course.

Your list isn't that big. More an annoyance of prices than volume, but give it a few months and pretty much everything will drop.

I was actually wondering when our GOGs and masters were going to hurl another sale at us. I think most people have recovered from the Winter (Fall?) enduro of last year by now. You can't have too many cheap games thrust in your face.

I'm thinking that maybe something will show up next month, smaller-scale Spring sale perhaps.

And yeah, it'd be nice to have a chance at some serious list-clearing. Already figuring that everything 6 or less is getting wiped out the next time there's a catalog-wide 50 percent off, but some extra bundles wouldn't hurt to cut down on cost.
For me its a case of wanting to get it over and done with, to get the games I still want and then wait and see what trickles along in the future. Its the pending nature of things that I find a bit wearing, particularly when I miss out on something for whatever reason and have to wait for it to come around again.

Grimrock installed...initiate shortcut....check mind prepared to be frazzled.....ten...nine...eight....
