CarrionCrow: Yes, Astebreed, when I dashed to the right to dodge the bullets, I totally meant for you to auto-lock and go flying head-first into the last boss so they could light you up like the 4th of July, you stupid suicidal fuck.
If I remember correctly, there is an option to disable the auto lock closest enemies in the option menu.
Ah, another quiet evening. Insomnia, chemical abuse, a torrent of expletive-laden screaming and the steady erosion of hearing.
Could be worse. -laughs-
good morning Thread !!

here's some pics Car Talk (a fun-loving talk radio about cars and other stuff) has been publishing. They have this theme for looking for funny stuff on the road.

This was under a text, "Another one! Are they all traveling together? They seem to be moving northward!"

happy weekend for U 2 ! :P

Rpc... role-playing conference? :D
Good moaning Freddites.

I played some Astebreed yesterday and it was everything it promised itself to be, a fast, action packed, almost-bullet-hell, shoot-em-up with a taste of old school and an obvious arcade cabinet flair. Even the nonsensical and cheesy animesque story helped contribute to the whole experience. Arcade games weren't exactly known for their finely crafted narratives.

I really liked it, liked it a lot; however, I didn't love it.

Which forced me to confront the fact that my heart, wrapped up in a rubber gimp suit belongs to the sadistic ministrations of mistress DarkSouls. I enjoyed Astebreed, however the main problem I found with it was that it just wasn't Dark Souls.

I might have a problem.

Is there a support group for Dark Souls addicts?

Hihihi n__o ... Good Gog. That's a bit dangerous isn't it? It would be a crazy distraction. But hilarious, in any case :-)
Good morning. Hope things are going well on your end.

2 is a disshevelled incohesive mess compared to 1.
Case in point, When you finish Earthen Peak, a giant windmill under an open sky, an elevator takes you UP to a castle half-submerged in lava.
HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK?!
As for game mechanics, the hitboxes are all over the place but worst of all.
While challenging, I can still pull off parrying in PVE in 1. Same goes for the kick. It is practically impossible to pull either one in 2. Whenever I attempt the shield break (forward+RS) I get a normal attack 9 out of 10 times, because the GODDAMN WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY IS SO DAMN STRINGENT!
Then there's the fuck-up with the rolling, and what the hell is up with the agility stat. It's either the most OP stat in the game or the most worthless. No one can decide. I can't tell wether my roll animation has actually gotten faster and gained invincibiltiy frames or if it just looks that way to me (placebo effect).

Well rolling is mostly witcher 2. I haven't finished dark souls 1 but i played a lot of second and I don't hate it.. well I do hate that place where is some docks and everything sucks.

Rolling... mostly witcher 2...
Son, are you drunk?
Dark Souls 2 had a lot to live up after 1. And it failed to meet expectations. After playing 1 I find the game mechanics in 2 annoying, frustrating and unsatisfactory.

I know where you're coming from, even though I've barely played witcher 2. But you dismissing rolling in a souls game is what baffled me.
