ddickinson: Steam does movies and movie rental now? I wonder if there is much demand for another movie rental/streaming service?
They just started doing it today. They signed a deal with a major studio.
But, the prices are a joke for the movies being offered. I'd be better off buying the stuff I want from Amazon. Would save a lot of money.

As for demand? I'd say no. It's not needed. Steam's trying to make more money from a market that already has multiple ways to get a movie rental.

ElTerprise: Great...i can actually rent like 7 movies from Lionsgate...none of those interest me

Alright. Close to falling asleep. I wish you a goodnight and see you later *big good night hugs and waves* :)

CarrionCrow: You get 7 movies, while I can see 70. Guess they slapped some massive region locking on the whole thing.

Have a good night, sleep well. =)
But now I can watch movies without ever venturing outside my beloved Steam client!
Ptui.

I guess they are relying on people being unaware of the competition, or those who want their media all in one place.

For 7.99, you can rent not one, not two, but all four Leprechaun movies.
How in the world can you pass that up?

Those lazy kids wanting everything in one place. :-)

I thought the indies they already had were a bad deal, this is stupid on 10. :-)

Come on, that's not true.
I mean, sure, I can buy American Psycho for 5.29 on Amazon, but then I just own the stupid thing. It's just going to sit around taking up space until I want to watch it.
But with Steam, all I have to do is spend a measly 3.99, and I can watch it all I want for 2 days. After that, it's gone again, not sitting around gathering dust in my house.
There's just no comparison. =)
Well I think I had better at least try to get some sleep. I hope you two have a lovely rest of the day. Take care.

This is just a way of telling me I need to dust, isn't it?

Nah. I'd be a hypocrite doing that. I hate dusting. -laughs-
How are you all doing?

Been a while since I've listened to London After Midnight. Not a bad band at all, they have some really good tunes, some really mediocre ones too. Anyway, time to move on to listening to something else, no idea what.

On that note, I just remembered that Warmer released a new album about a month or two ago. If you didn't know, Warmer (aka Jesse Gunn) had a lot of their (his) songs in The Cat Lady as well as voicing a character in it and he voiced the main character in the remake of Downfall. Warmer's stuff is sorta like...a slightly poppy at times Nine Inch Nails, which is cooler than it sounds haha. https://warmer.bandcamp.com if you'd like to give his stuff a listen
