omega64: Good afternoon, good luck with the board meeting.

EndreWhiteMane: Thanks, I'm just there as a 'consultant' so I get to be bored to death and answer a few questions.
Hope they have good coffee. ;-)
Good Morning!
Also demand donuts! :P
Good morning, lovely people of the thread! I hope you're all doing well, or as well as possible.

Glad to see the devs changed their minds and that Banner Saga 2 will be coming to GOG DRM-free. The first one was one of my favorite games in a long time.

I'm also quite excited to see Cornerstone: The Song of Tyrim released. I backed this one on Kickstarter and got to play through it during testing. It's quite a charming game and a lot of fun. Reminded me a lot of something like Wind Waker.

Sarge stayed up pretty late last night and is still napping. Worked out pretty well, as I started the day a bit sick. It's already passing though, so I figure by the time he's ready to play, I will be too. :)

I hope you all have a lovely day!

I still don't think I will be supporting them anymore. This all seems like damage control after the backlash over screwing over backers. Apparently they are trying to say they honestly thought DRM-Free was behind piracy. I think they just wanted to screw over their customers and investors and did not expect the backlash and are now trying to fix things. Granted I have not read too much into things, but their whole attitude towards their backers and DRM-Free customers was not very professional. It is not like they are amateurs and this is their first time making a game. They know very well that DRM does not stop piracy, they were just using that excuse. Which as indie developers they should know better than to use the AAA corporate type excuse.

I hope you will be feeling all better as the day goes on, and hopefully you and Sarge will have a great day having lots of fun.

I haven't read too much into it either, but it did certainly seem like a pretty shoddy excuse. And you're right, it does seem like agreeing to DRM-free was done as a bit of last-minute clean-up after they realized how upset folks would be.

And thanks! I'm feeling better by the minute, and Sarge is being really cool. I love that he can tell when I don't feel well and will tone down the energy a bit for me. :)

I hope you have a lovely day yourself!

I think they saw that they were losing a lot of support and potential sails, not to mention people saying they would never back their projects again. I mean they did lie to investors, not just future customers. This all just feels like a cheap attempt to show they do value their customers, but their initial actions I think show their true colours.

Glad to hear that, hopefully you and Sarge will be up to no good in no time. :-)

I am doing okay, nothing I need to complain about at any rate.
Damn it, I wish Megamagic would show up already. Really wanting to give that a try.

Good morning, Crow. How are you today?

Is the game due to be released today, or is it coming to GOG eventually?

Good afternoon. =)

Can't complain here, waking up a bit while looking at game stuff.
How's your day going?

It's in the coming soon section right now. No gamecard yet, though, so I think it might be a bit before it shows up.

hopefully you will have a nice day to look forward to, and maybe some good games as well. See anything new in the sale that catches your eye?

I am doing good, thank you. A few things not so good, but certainly nothing worth bothering anyone about. :-)

Ah, I thought maybe it was due today and they were late. Hopefully it will be released soon then so you can get it on your shelf.

FearfulSymmetry: And with the patch it's usually fine. I did not experience any severe issues on my first playthrough. Recently I've been modding the game a bit and I think I messed up some things doing that, so I ran into a bug I had to correct with the console, but even then it was no big deal. And it is an excellent RPG, well worth playing. 20 bucks is a lot, though. I'd say 10 is a good price, although it's gone on sale on Steam for as little as 5. I'll probably get it on GOG myself when it hits the 10 dollar price point.
Well it sounds like a Bethesda game then... i had to fix a quest in Skyrim once via console. Yep I thought about getting it at 10 at most :)

I think the choice of bundles added today is interesting considering the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl catastrophe.....first the radioactive one and now the Fallout one xD

No, not yet. Everything that's shown up, aside from the Bit Trip bundle, I have. (Except for the Fallout bundle, but I got those when Interplay was the one selling them.)

It doesn't bother people, silly lady. ;P

Nah, there's no clearcut release schedule yet. But that's okay. Worst case scenario, I'll grab something else then pick it up later on.

I was wondering that as well, but I thought that maybe it was just a coincidence.

Have you had a nice day?

I don't think I own many games form the current set so far. I own a few form the Nightmare and Lucas Arts bundle, but that is about it. It would be nice to get a few games from my wishlist before my buying has to stop, but there is nothing really I am desperate to own, so no loss if they do not appear with a good discount during the promo.

Maybe, but I think I will still just keep it to myself and go with my day being good for the most part reply. :-)

Did you see the list of games that are apparently (possibly) coming to GOG?

But with two bundles now? Even if it's indeed a coincidence it's still funny in a weird way ;)

The annoying weather (combination of snow and loads of rain) it was a decent day - what about your day?

Well, there's more stuff coming (15 or so more bundles by my estimate), so you might see a list item or three before it ends.

-laughs- Fair enough. Not a fan of asking questions and being nosy, so I'll just hope that whatever's on the bad side of things pisses off quickly and completely. =)

Saw it earlier, but just looked again. It's got a few odds and ends that I'll pick up when they appear, along with a bunch of stuff I've never heard of.

We have been having some mixed weather as well, going from nice and sunny to heavy rain. But nothing too bad. No snow though. I am glad to hear your day is going decently despite the weather.

My day has been good, thank you.

No big loss if not. I have more than enough games in my backlog anyway. But it would be nice to get my wishlist down, or maybe even empty it before I have to limit my game buying.

You just need to use the angle of being concerned, then you look less nosy when being nosy and more caring. :-)

There is only two for me on the list, and those depend on how they turn out (Defenders Quest 2 and Outlast 2). I liked Defenders Quest, so if the second one is similar then I will get the game, I just hope they don't change it too much. Outlast 2 is a mixed bag for me. I will wait to see what the storyline is, and if the specs are too high for me. But hopefully neither will be the case as I really liked the first game. The rest of the list are games I have never heard of for the most part.
