timppu: I guess, but it seems nowadays the games are overlapping much more than back in the PS2 and PSOne days. That can be considered both as a positive and a negative thing, I guess. Positive, as nowadays you don't need to own several gaming devices that much (in order not to miss lots of games you might enjoy).
teceem: And what do you consider negative about it?
For PC game(r)s, consolidizadizidasion is one thing, ie. they have to design games so that they are playable both on PCs and consoles, also concerning controls, graphics etc.
Maybe consoles are being hurt somewhat as well, like more games appearing on consoles which don't necessarily sit that well on them. I feel e.g. FPS games are mostly like that. I mean, FPS games with a gamepad, can you believe that?!?
Not sure if genre diversity has also suffered a bit due to this on both consoles and PCs. At least I felt that back in the PSX and PS2 times those consoles seemed to have more "special" games than nowadays.
