I changed my computer.
I've reloaded the game many times, but every time I have this tip:
Connection to GOG Galaxy Communication Service was lost and could not be restored! GOG Galaxy will now shutdown.
All solutions let me delete files.I don't have this file in my folder:“C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists\GalaxyC ommunicationService.ini”
Please help me.
Hurry up, dudes, hurry up. I'm losing wood.

I found a solution!
A lot of people are having this problem because of a program called "CryptoPrevent", but I do not have this program and even then I was having the same problems.

So I went after that, and I found my solution.

I went to the folder "C: \ ProgramData \ GOG.com \ Galaxy \ redists" and left it open.

I clicked to open the GALAXY GOG normally, and when the window appeared, I went back to the folder in explorer and ran "GalaxyCommunication.exe" (Yes, without the "Service" in the name)

All right, I did not have the mistake anymore and I did not have to repeat it.

I wish that helped for me, it didn't work. Anyone else have any other ideas? I may to do yet another clean install of Windows 10.

Hi Guys,

I'm pretty new to Galaxy and I've just had this problem.

I don't have CryptoPrevent and other solutions did not work. After opening the program logs, I saw problems with user authentication, taken from explorer.exe.

I tried changing the service account but nothing worked, but I found a post in another thread saying that this is only a remote desktop problem, and it was my case. I was using the computer via Remote Desktop, so I logged in in the physical computer and ran Galaxy. It didn't worked but the log said another thing: error finding the settings in the registry.

Actual solution: Uninstall Galaxy and install it in the physical computer and never via remote desktop like I did. Somehow it stores the user associated with the remote session and it does not work. After installing it locally, it works properly.

I hope this helps someone else!

No idea why that worked, but it did. Thanks.
Alas I have uninstalled and reinstalled Galaxy to no avail.

There is a sticky thread for Galaxy problems...

You can play your single player games just fine without Galaxy.

Nothing I tried works, any solutions anyone?
Been trying the Galaxy clients (v1 and v2) on Mac OS X and getting the same communication service error. Kinda crazy this bug has persisted for years?
