heiselong: I didn't see anyone confirm this yet: the game is unlisted/blocked from Australia.
Oddly enough it's not in the news either...I wonder if the laws got changed again to ban anime-styled characters.
Or is it full of underage (18-) schoolgirls and people are just being defensive as usual?
I really dont understand how fictional characters can be underage
Is a young elf also underage ?
These ones look young in appearance but are already quite old
18 Human Years = 90 Elf Years
And it can be done in reverse with division:
102 Elf Years = 20.4 Human Years
And what about Dragons that can shapeshift to human forms
they are underage as well because they look young in appearence?
when 5 years has passed something strange happens to dragons in the fantasy realm
5 human years = 15 dragon years
10 human years = 16 dragon years
20 human years = 17 dragon years
40 human years = 18 dragon years
Dwarfes then?
This is an attempt at calculating equivalent ages for Dwarves and Men in Tolkien's works, based primarily on information given in The Lord of the Rings and The Peoples of Middle-earth (HoME-12). The relevant facts are:
Dwarves reached maturity at about age 40.
Humans are assumed to reach maturity at about age 20.
The average lifespan of Dwarves was about 250 years.
The average lifespan for Men (non-Númenorean) of Middle-earth was about 70 years.
From this I developed the following formulae for age conversion, where D is the Dwarf age and H the human age:
Juvenile: D = H * 2
Adult: D = ((H - 20) * ((250 - 40) / (70 - 20))) + 40
= (H * 4.2) - 44
The following table shows approximate equivalent ages between Men and Dwarves. It should be noted, however, that Dwarves age very differently from Men. After reaching maturity at about age 40, Dwarves show almost no change due to aging until about 10 years before death; the entire transition into old age occurs during that last decade. So, while there is a significant change in a Man from age 30 to age 60, a Dwarf would change very little between the equivalent ages of 82 and 208, and would not begin to show age-related decline until, on average, age 240 (equivalent to about 68 for a Man.) The lifespan of most Dwarves who died of natural causes clustered closely around the 250-year mark. There were exceptions, however; Dwalin is recorded as having lived 340 years.
Man Dwarf
5 10
10 20
15 30
20 40 (maturity)
25 61
30 82
There are more examples than this that show
that comparing real world issuies with fantasy seldom works well
The author coud have wrote about long lived humans and so on
If a human lived for 900 years or something like that in a fictional book the age of 20 woud be considered to be quite young
real humans does not slow down their age rating as dragons do after the age of 5 and so on
And lara croft must be an immortal or something
25 years has passed and she was already an adult when the first game got out but she doesnt show any hint in age whatsoever
so woud an anime loli character still be considerd underage when the artist created it 30 years ago?
And if not, what if the artist contunied to use the same character but she didnt age in other works he created
still underage despite the fact that over 30 years has gone since the the characters first appereance?
