I guess they do, but I have not really noted a change in the non-discount (base) price of a game ... other than small variations based on Exchange Rate.
I have gotten into the habit (possibly a bad move) of just scanning my Wishlist on arrival to GOG each day, and only really taking note of discounts (games on special).
I haven't really gone looking for games that have been marked down in price permanently. One presumes that does happen, and that a game could conceivably become cheap enough for me (enter the sweet zone) without needing to be on special.
I think I used to check all the prices on my wishlist when I first started using GOG, but with so many games and so many specials, I guess I have gravitated to what saves time ... the obvious discounts.
So GOG, if you are listening (well reading anyway), if games do become cheaper over time, and you want me (at least) to notice, so you can gain more sales, then perhaps another page (running log even) similar to the Sales pages is needed?
In other words, if the base price of a game comes down, then it appears on a log type page, that is quick and easy to check back through .... so based on date I guess.
For someone who checks as I do on arrival, that would mean the following.
1. Check Wishlist for discounted games.
2. Check GOG's main page for Freebies and Specials and New Releases.
3. Check the Sales pages (once in a while).
4. CHECK THAT NEW RUNNING LOG page of games that have changed their base price.
P.S. Or maybe just some indicator on the Wishlist.
