Did you get this code from a grey market reseller? Its the number one cause for issues.

If you got her from some shady site, don't come complaining later if something unwanted happens (STD and what have you).

Can't say I've ever heard of being redirected back to the store page on a code redeem failure. Usually it's usable, or it's not and appropriate errors are displayed.

If you're using Galaxy, try logging into the website and do it there.

Use a different browser with default settings and no add-ons. Log into your account before heading over to the redeem page.

You can also redeem the game using gog galaxy

There was a situation where one key included three games. I owned 2/3 and could redeem the one missing. Still two other people were able to redeem the other games when other owned one of the two unredeemed and used the code first.

Been retrying every 30 minutes it seems. And i already did an account refresh too.

I suspect the DLC's aren't set to recognize the base game vs the 'collector's edition' or something. This wouldn't be the first time this has happened.

edit: Alright, after retrying a couple dozen times, the code suddenly works. Only took 2 days.

I believe GOG Galaxy is trying (and failing) to load a captcha. I imagine everyone that had the issue (like me) redeemed a few codes in quick succession and the system went into botting protection mode. That's why it works in the browser, where it can load a captcha, but the app only opens a cropped store window. That's also why waiting a few days makes it work again, since the system goes back to the no-captcha default until you redeem "too many" codes in succession again.

I don't have galaxy, so i was using the browser every time, including times i solved the Captcha and it still was failing.

I don't know. Could be caching issues, could be some corruption in the DB, could be malformed game entries...
