¹ According to Wikipedia, the game is in active development. *fingers crossed*
GAH, Lucasarts needed to realize their best games were the SCUMM one's, THOSE put them on the map. The SW games from Lucasarts were hit and miss imo, at least in comparison to the SCUMM games.
Prey 2.

Oh... well....
Whore of the Orient. I didn't like L.A. Noire as a game, but this was intriguing.

East vs West. should this mean that HoI4 will eventually have Cold War DLC? unlikely.
after alpha was leaked community attempted to finish it on their own, but that was just lost hopes. so sad, the idea was really cool.

Heroes of Annihilated Empires, which should be trilogy. well, it's definitely not Warcraft, but personally, i liked it, so it'd be nice to know the rest of the story.
too sad they buried their cool strategy games under ruins of STALKER series up until poor 3D remake of Cossacks.

also, new XCOM game from E3 2010, which was not exactly cancelled but became third-person tactics The Bureau. though before that it was an FPS about alien invasion in 1950s' USA.
it looked absolutely cool, and IMO would be much better atmosphere-wise, reminding of Call of Cthulhu, Bioshock, or 3rd generation of Fallout.
haven't played Bureau itself, but it isn't even close to that project. such a shame.

and whole Armada of the Damned, having flagship of the same name.
Armada itself was a sorrowful loss. and since Hearts of Oak is abandoned, we have nothing on the horizon except couple of ambitious indies with uncertain release chances.
most of all I mourn Corsairs 4 (Age of Pirates/Sea Dogs sequel). though since last month some shady story about rights is going on, and both suing parties have proclaimed making a new Corsairs game.
all that is muddy and unlikely, but a little hope bring news that some guys from Seaward (AoP:CoAS developer) are willing to participate in development. it'd be great after all these years to finally see good singleplayer naval sailing adventure.

it's possible, i hope. after all, almost final version of Lord of the Clans was leaked recently, Beyond Good and Evil 2 announced and in development, so... maybe we'll see others as well?

Rise of Nations 2 could have been awesome:

SNES CD (in general, I know there's a prototype.)

Secret of Mana for the SNES CD.

Legend of the Holy Sword for Famicom disk system.

Rayman on SNES.

Gran Turismo on the SNES CD.

Superman: The New Adventures for Playstation. (It was looking competent.)

Also, this never happened, but I wonder what a Super FX Mario would have been like?
The games I would love to see is:

Beat 'em ups
Streets of Rage Reboot
Shaolin Streets
Metalocalypse: Dethgame
The Retriever

Suirvial Horror
Winter(wii)
Sadness Trailer
nSANE (Guillermo del Toro)

I have more but I'll stop on these.

The English Version of Wizardry Summoner (which I think was going to be called Wizardry: The Summoning) on GBA.

I did eventually get around to playing the Japanese version, but it turns out that the game has one major flaw that ruins it. Your XP and gold awards appear to be switched around, resulting in you getting almost no XP (meaning you can't reach the level the game expects you to be at in a reasonable amount of time) and way too much gold.

(A way to convert gold into XP, accessible early on, would have saved this game.)
The Lady, the Mage and the Knight would have been interesting to try
I don't care much for playing unfinished and/or non-existing games.

PapaShango: Dead Rush

It's an open world zombie game developed by Treyarch for the PlayStation 2, Gamecube and Xbox. An E3 preview in Nintendo Power magazine dubbed the gameplay "Grand Theft Undead", while Official UK PlayStation 2 Magazine called it "Grand Theft Evil."

The game would have taken place in the town of Eastport where a massive earthquake has destroyed most of humanity. As Jake, a character suffering from memory loss, the player's job was to try to find out exactly what happened in Eastport, which is now overflowing with zombies.

The game's main claim to fame was the fact that as Jake, players could operate one of several vehicles scattered around town. Not only would this provide the player with a means of transportation but it would also serve as armour of sorts. The zombies in Eastport would try to wreck whatever car Jake was driving. Luckily the player could create new vehicles out of parts of previously demolished cars.

Funny thing is that someone was given a beta copy of the game for review purposes and had mentioned it on neogaf, another user also claimed to have a working copy of the game too. Don't know if I can find those threads again, it's been a couple of years since then.
